Description: Before the sandstorm, Keroro made Lily promise to build a Gundam model kit with him. Things have been a bit crazy since then but the alien frog hasn’t forgotten and he’s making the witch make good on her promise.



[A lot had happened since that day a few weeks ago when Lily saw Keroro with his model kits in the park. The sandstorm, cleaning up afterwards, being a Weapon for a week, and all of the strange things that had appeared in the city. That pinky promise she had made with the alien to build one of those models when she had time had been pushed to the back of her mind like an old trunk of clothes shoved into an attic corner.]

[But Keroro hadn’t forgotten and insisted on having her put together one of those strange plastic toys. (Or making her swallow a thousand needles…)]

[So, this morning she opened Yesterday’s Magic, leaving it in her employees’ care, and then climbed the stairs to the third floor where the alien ran his shops.]

[Okay, that sounds simple enough. She reaches out to take the cutters and picks up one of the parts sheets with her other hand.]

So, is the first step just to cut out all of these little pieces?

Only cut out the parts you want. Otherwise you'll just make a mess and forget which is which, de arimasu.

And how do I know which parts I want? Do you start with the feet and work your way up? [Since he'd pointed out that foot piece...]

Well, the first part they have in the instructions is the cockpit, so I guess you should start with the first part for that, de arimasu.

[Keroro points out a sheet of grey pieces.]

Cut them out as you use them, de arimasu. That way, everything is tidy and even if you have to walk off and come back later, you'll know where you were, de arimasu.

I guess that makes sense. But how do all of these little bits actually go together once they're cut out?

[Lily puts down the sheet she's holding and picks up the one he just pointed to, looking over at the instructions again. Finding said part, she applied the cutters to the plastic.]

Mostly they snap together, de arimasu.

So, you can take them back apart, too? Sort of like Legos?

I don't see why you would, but you could do that if you wanted to, de arimasu.

What do you do with these after you're done anyway?

[And she has a few pieces cut out now and is trying to figure out how they go together. She might need a bit of help...]

You can show it off on the internet, display it, or just play with it, de arimasu.

Ah, 1-K goes with 1-B, de arimasu. It won't fit if it's not those two together, de arimasu.

Well, I reckon I won't be showing it off on the internet. I don't do well with gadgets.

[Ah, and they fit together as he says. She'll move on to cutting out some more pieces now...]

Did you build all of the ones here in the shop?

Of course!

[Because you needed samples in a shop, right? And if he just so happened to use work time to build them, that was still okay, right?]

These are some of my best works, de arimasu!

I see. But there's an awful lot of them. Does Eve ever help you put them together?

She does, de arimasu! But only when we have days off, de arimasu.

[Because they can't both be slackers.]

When do y'all have days off anyway? I reckon it must be busy running the shops and having another job as well. [Her own shop and the gardening job kept her pretty busy.]

[And now she has a few more pieces that she's trying to fit together. Is that all of the cockpit?]

Well, sometimes it's fine to just take one, de arimasu. All work and no play can be very tiring especially for Eve-dono, de arimasu.

It's gotten a lot harder now with Saya-dono and Hughes-dono gone though, de arimasu.

[Keroro reaches out to push a thin black liner to her.]

Remember to line the pieces too, de arimasu.

You've been having trouble keeping help, huh? I haven't had any employees get sent back but someone who was interested in working for me disappeared and I haven't been able to hire more as I was hoping. [She frowns a bit. Maybe it's time to look into hiring some locals, especially if she wants to expand.]

[Lily picks up the marker and looks between it and the pieces.]

Line the pieces? How does that work?

Yeah....but I guess everyone's more occupied with getting stronger so it can't really be helped, de arimasu. Eve-dono and I can manage, de arimasu. [Besides, Keroro's been making use of the people from the floating circus too.]

Just take the liner and fill in all those thing lines you see on the top of the pieces, de arimasu. This makes it look more finished, de arimasu.

Maybe... Kanji goes out on missions a lot and Yuugi's been out a couple of times too.

So, I just trace along all of the lines? [She takes the cap off and tentatively gives it a try. Oops! That came out a bit wobbly.] Um, does it come off if you make a mistake?

Ah! Well, if you can get it before it dries...!

[Keroro quickly hands her a tissue.]

[Setting the liner down, she takes the tissue and manages to undo the wobbly line.]

Um, let's try that again...

[And the next attempt comes out better.]

So, what goes next? Do you just keep cutting parts out and putting them together like this and adding lines?

Pretty much, de arimasu.

[So, the cutting and lining and assembly continues and about an hour later, there's a few large sections pieced together on the table.]

Is it almost done now?

Almost, de arimasu! You just have to put the sections together and you're almost finished, de arimasu.

[Lily has the other arm and is trying to connect it to the rest.]
