EVENT: It's Like Jurrasic Park but with death puns

Description: Dinosaurs are everywhere.



As Spirit Said, sometime during the morning dinosaurs just started randomly appearing everywhere. The fact that they're small is good in that they aren't terribly dangerous, but bad in that they really can get into everything except the flower pot.

You might even find one in your cupboard. And it looks like one of them has BREW!

Go wrangle some dinosaurs and bring them back to Shibusen!

[ .. Oh god, he can't mess this one up, he simply can't. So without any risk or thought for his own safety (naturally, though, since he always does that when people are in trouble) he jumps so he can catch the book and hold it in his arms. Mostly so when he lands on the floor, it's his back that takes the damage rather than the book itself. ]

.. Ugh. [ He groans, that'll be a bruise in the morning. ] Y.. you 'kay, miss?

A bit dizzy and slobbery but nothing a shower and a change of clothes wouldn't fix. [She's more concerned about something else at the moment though.]

Are you okay, Josuke? It looked like you fell pretty hard. [She normally wouldn't be so open about it but if he was hurt, that was more important than hiding her secret.] I should have a healing spell in this form if you need it.

...mm fine.. [ Half-mumbled, but as he sits up he does look fairly okay. He's just not used to being a Meister, he's a little less sturdy this way. But he's pretty used to constantly getting beaten up in his own world, so a fall isn't much more trouble than a moment of grumbling. ]

I'm more worried about my clothes, that gross shit is all over them now!

[ Priorities. No, really, the moment he's sitting up with the book he's already staring down at the slobber all over his jacket in horror.. ]

[Lily blinks at that unexpected answer although she does have to agree that dinosaur slobber is pretty gross. Even in Weapon form, she gets the feeling that there's going to be a large spot of reptile drool on her dress when she turns back. At least, he seems to be okay...]

I'm sure we can figure out some way to get it out back at the shop even if I usually deal with food and makeup stains rather than dinosaur drool. At least, it's a fresh and not an old stain. [Although in a way, it was ancient...] That will make it easier to get out.

Y.. you're sure we can get it out?! [ Yes, he's fairly desperate about this. Welcome to the many ways in which Josuke is a complete loser, Lily, including the fact that he seems to care more about his clothes than his physical health here.. ]

If it's gonna stain, then I won't even be able to wear these anymore! And they're my clothes from home!

[ So at least they're special in a way.. maybe that makes it slightly less weird. Maybe. ]

...I think so. I can't say I've ever had to wash out dinosaur slobber before. [Hopefully, it wouldn't be more of a problem than normal saliva... She tries to be reassuring since he's so worried about this. It's somewhat understandable if these clothes are one of the few things he has from home.]

It'll probably be fine if we get it into the wash as soon as possible.

[They really should get back to the shop too and make sure things were all right and that no other dinosaurs had suddenly appeared there!]

Ah.. then what are we waiting for?! Let's get the hell outta here! [ He's already getting up the moment he hears the words "as soon as possible". It means every minute counts, and he's already ready to race off. ]

[ He still doesn't know if she mastered the whole transformation thing yet or not.. ]

[She sighs a bit at the question. It's gotten a bit easier since that day he found her in the shop but transforming back is still a challenge.]

That might be quicker. It's still hard to change back on the first try. [There's a moment of hesitation before she adds...] Maybe, I could help you run faster if we can resonate. That helped me when I was a Meister.

[ For a moment he seems to consider it, but then he shakes his head, just picking up the book plainly instead. ]

Don't have time to get all into it-- I'm not used to doing it the Meister way, and if we don't hurry my shirt's gonna be ruined forever! [ Which is apparently the greatest tragedy to him. So he's already running the moment he finishes talking. ]

[In a way, it's a bit of a relief that he declined. She liked Josuke but was still hesitant to reveal some things about herself even to friends. It would have been a weak resonance at best with the things she was holding back.]

All right. Let's hurry then. I hope the shop's okay. That critter ran off with me before any of the others arrived.

[ So he quickly takes off with her after saying it. ]

[Thankfully, they manage to get back to the shop without encountering any more dinosaurs! And there don't seem to be any other unwanted critters in the shop.]

[After a couple of tries, Lily manages to change back to normal and grimaces at the large amount of dinosaur slobber on the skirt of her vintage dress.]

Okay, into the back room and we can try to fix this.

[ At least he's not the only one with a dinosaur slobber problem now, huh.. but at least he believes in Lily when it comes to stuff like that. If she can't get it out after that detailed explanation about different laundry techniques from before, nobody probably can. ]
