[OPEN] Bouncing Back
Characters: Open to the kidnapping victims, their visitors, and medics.
Location: Death City Clinic
Rating: Varies
Time: June 17th and 18th (if extra time is needed), all day
Description: After a return to Death City and resulting brief surgery to remove the amplification chips, patients are now under observation for the safety of themselves and others as they recover from the ordeal. Visit a friend!
It began with a sigh of relief when the chips were discovered late last night. Nurses and doctors moved briskly down the halls, sedating the maddened and prepping them for an easy surgery. One by one the foul chips are removed, contained for further analysis while their 'hosts' take their first real rest after a whirlwind day spent out alone with their own crazed minds.
By the morning of the 17th, the surgeons anesthesiologists are exhausted, wearily taking their time in the break rooms of the clinic to recover from a very long night of sedations and incisions, but after another examination, they were pleased to announce everyone was clean.
But the environment is tense. Most, if not all of those who were brought back had done unspeakable acts and are ordered to remain under observation just in case. Visiting hours arrives just after Morning Training lets out, allowing patients to see their friends and partners. But take note- each room is accompanied by a Shibusen agent keeping their eyes and ears open in case of trouble, but they won't disturb your visit or conversation so long as you keep things civil.
[ooc: Remember to tag yourselves in!]

open!
Those especially observant that had paid attention in the hallway might note that the wall Akiha leaned against was shared with the room her partner was being kept in.
She didn't look up at the sound of someone entering her room, and it sounded like she was having some trouble breathing.]

[With several soft knocks to alert Akiha of her presence, Naoto entered the room. Her mouth opened, but then closed when she noted the other girl not in her bed, but in the corner.]
Tohno-san?
no subject
If you... you want the... arm. bands.
...you'll have to... to... wait to see. If they ever. Let us. Out.
[She drew in another pained breath.]
Won't fight getting... kicked out.
no subject
I'm not here to discuss that... Come on. I'll help you get back in bed and call a doctor.
no subject
Don't need help. This... this happens after... after...
[She leans her head back against the wall, eyes bloodshot, and forced herself to take slower breaths.]
no subject
[She'll push the issue in a bit, but she really came with the intent to see how Akiha and Sion were recovering. All that she could note was it wasn't good... mentally so far.]
no subject
It's... called inversion. When my blood... over- overrides my willpower.
no subject
[Though, even if it was, it had been amplified.]
no subject
[Her breathing was somewhat easing up, but it was still an effort.]
Fate of all Tohno. We're monsters.
no subject
[She frowned. Family isn't supposed to do that... What's wrong with some people?]
Do you all eventually succumb to that other half though?
no subject
Some sooner than others. Is responsibility of the family head to put down those who inverted.
[Guess who is the head of the Tohno family now?]
I'm only one that has ever come back from inversion.
no subject
... I doubt I can convince you, but I do know Kanji would come here and argue that you're not a monster. You do what you must to stay in-control at home and here, BREW keeps you from inversion. It can come out, yes, but you can be pulled back; you've been given a chance to control. Like you mentioned with your brother, you were forced into that state. Who I'm speaking to now is Tohno-san, the one who refuses to succumb to the demon she was born with and fights desperately to rein it. If you wanted to be the one back in the village, you wouldn't feel regret for your actions.
no subject
Are you certain that's what he'd do? I did try to eat him.
...and there will eventually be a day where I fall completely to my inversion impulse and the Crimson Red Vermilion will be unleashed. I'm glad those witch chips still a limit, otherwise we would have killed you all.

Overall, though, she seems to be fine.]
Akiha...

I was worried so much about you.
no subject
I was worried about you. You're not... not used to being a monster like I am.
no subject
no subject
...I can still taste it.

[Akiha was silent for a moment aside from her tears.]
I'm sorry. If I'd been stronger, the witch never would've--
I-I panicked.
no subject
But....I would like to stay in the same room as you.
no subject
...we owe Shirogane for this.

[She's not above playing dirty with politics. If Akiha can give Cloud a sob story, well....Death City needed it's most powerful meisters.]
no subject
Maybe.
I think they're still deciding whether to hand us over to the Chile government.
