Valentine's in Death City has always been a bit special, what with the red skulls and hearts all around. This year seems to be even more special, unbeknownst to all of its residence.

A certain pantsless creature of great power has decided to use his magic for the greater good! No man, woman, little girl, alien, animal and robot shall go without a present this Valentine's day!

So, my dear, what do you do when you see chocolate in front of your door?

[This woman... she kept on surprising him. The hug had implied to him that she, like most people here, thought he was just a child who needed some amount of comfort and taking-care of, but now she was calling him out on how he addressed her?]

He hasn't told me not to, I just don't. [He couldn't really describe why he addressed people the way he did.] It seems like calling him by his full name would be a bit lengthy, wouldn't it?

[Okay, so he's a little dense sometimes for being a child genius.]

Well, you don't have to call him by his full name. I call him Sou-chan, but you could call him Sougo-kun. I'm sure he wouldn't mind.

[except maybe stare at hitsugaya like the shinigami is dead to him. she waves her hand around, to indicate that she was teasing.]

Please call me Mitsuba. [guides him through this you can do it]

[He's kind of staring at her like she's started speaking of bizarre, crazy language and he can't comprehend for a moment. He's usually the one correcting people on how they address him, not the other way around. Finally, he speaks, raising an eyebrow.]

...I suppose I could call you 'Mitsuba,' if it alleviates the confusion.

[She did request it, after all. But there's no way in hell he's going to call Sougo 'Sougo-kun,' especially with the honorific. He has to draw the line somewhere.]

[it seems that was as much as she was going to be able to squeeze out of the young boy, at this point. no need trying to push and pull where she couldn't, considering they had technically just met.]

That would be quite all right. Did you happen to be walking by or did my brother put you up to saying hello?

[frozenheavens]

I was just passing through and saw you... You look a lot like your brother.

[He shrugs a little, looking slightly irritated as he goes on.]

I'm not sure when he intended to have us meet. Probably right when we were all in the process of moving.

[tabasco]

Oh, that's right! Sou-chan mentioned something about moving, if I remember correctly. He said you were perhaps five years younger than him? I hope you don't find it troublesome that all these changes are taking place because of me.

[frozenheavens]

[There's a slight twitch here.]

Is that what he told you? [An exasperated sigh.] Look, I'm not a child, you should know that now. I'm over 50 years old, perhaps close to 100, I've lost track at this point. I'm a shinigami, so my appearance doesn't reflect my actual age.

[Once he's got that out of the way, he shakes his head a little.] The move is fine, I've agreed to it already.

[...maybe this is why sougo is being so charitable and being this boy's friend. poor thing. it'd best not to do anything to disgruntle him.]

Oh, do forgive me. I had no idea.

[stares at him curiously, but figures that if she were to continue staring he would find it strange. smiles slightly instead.]

Did he happen to give you a date for the move too?

[frozenheavens]

[He sighes a little, realizing it's no use to try and convince her. Sougo would be no help either, he would probably perpetuate the idea.

Shaking his head, he looked to the side a bit with annoyance. Something told him he'd probably be spending a lot of time on the roof.]

A few days, I think. He wanted to let you settled into this place first.
