[Event Log] Mission #202 - Tegucigalpa

Description: It's an evacuation! Get people out of there and keep the kishin eggs off of them!



The resort city of Tegus isn't doing so well. You can see the relief in the eyes of the local police when they see help has arrived, help that can actually deal with the strange monsters raising hell in the streets.

But nobody can rest easy yet. Even in a city of lovely as this, the kishin eggs - much less the witches - see no need to take care of the historical buildings and tourist spots, choosing instead to mark the old buildings with their claws and magic when they aren't hunting down and torturing fleeing, terrified civilians.

Help get them out of there and on their way to the safe zone- there are buses, vans and police cars under the heaviest guard waiting! When you see a witch, keep your head low and hope she didn't see you... unless you think you've got the bite to back up your bark!

[ Strangely, Matt is the perfect Weapon for rescue missions due to his Portals. Clair had opened a Blue Portal near the rescue site and all they have to do now is to open orange Portals all around the city to save everyone. ]

Ready to go?

[Clair was not exactly known for being a helpful soul, but the idea of rescuing and fighting was something he could get behind. Multitasking was something of a hobby when he was in the right position for it. This Weapon form was easy enough to plan this with.]

Ready as I will ever be. Hopefully we will not run into any problems and we should end up saving practically the whole damn city!

[ neither is Matt, not really. But chaos would lead to people jumping on them and not letting them work - portals would stop that. People just had to run towards the portals and leave the pair to do their job. ]

Yeaaaaah. Let's not think about that. [ saving everyone? Matt? Yeah, he isn't a hero. He goes into battle to kill kishin eggs, but he doesn't have that helpful bone in him; people had to know how to handle themselves a bit ]

[It would be interesting to see if people could be herded like cattle into their portals to safety or if they would need a nudge in the right direction. Clair hoped not, but that would be expecting too much.

He smirked at Matt's reply.]

You and me both. I think this looks like a good direction for now.

[With that, he turned to the left and hurried along. He sighed when he heard the first screams. At least they were going to get some action out of this.]

[ there are screams everywhere, but it seems Clair choose the right direction. There were too many people for Matt's taste - running towards them, in panic - but he could see what they were running from. ]

That's one ugly asshole.

[ also a big one too. ]

Open a portal, else these guys are going to trample us ove. [ Matt hates mobs, and the ones in panic are even worse ]

[Clair is in agreement there. The creatures here are all different varieties of a special kind of ugly. Taking a few well-timed steps to the side and turning quickly to open a portal on a convenient wall, he finally addresses the screaming masses.]

If you want to live then go through there! We'll take care of this!

[And, like cattle, they flow through though some of them are predictably slow. A flash of what that ugly creature intended on doing with the stragglers made him quickly prepare to fire. When the thing entered a specific area Clair knows it will have to be in order to kill those hesitant fools as witnessed in his vision, he smirks. Looks like the first rescue attempt will be a complete success at least in this area.]

Gotcha.

[ matt watches the people running towards the portla (some do ignore it and pass right by them, but the redhead won't pay mind to them when there is an actual threat he has to worry about.

After, he turns to the kishin and the moment Clair rises him to shoot, the Weapon strengthens their resonance, in order to make the shots more powerful.

And also control his energy better. Having a Portal open and using bullets at the same time isn't as easy as one may think ]

[There is definitely a lag in the resonance. After all, they are not partners. They are two people that decided to give this a shot. So far, so good in the grand scheme of it.

The shoots manage to strike their target. In that time, it would be kind of important for those idiots that ran past the portal to turn and enter it before it closed. He is not going to bother chasing them down though.

After firing a couple of times, he starts considering where to go.]

Which direction should we go in next? The faster we go, the less time we have to hold the hands of these morons!

[ Matt groans. ] I won't hold their hands, but I will leave the Portal open for as long as it's possible.

let's keep moving ahead to find more enemies as they pass through it.

[ Matt didn't feel like keeping watch to wait for them. Might as well get busy. Once the people have escaped, he will close the Portal and move to the next area. ]

I wouldn't want you to. Sometimes we just have to let these people do their own thing whether they pay for it or not.

[In other words, he agrees with moving on. A few moment later and everything seems to be going smoothly thus far. Clair nods before turning to run off in another direction.]
