Location: Hospital
Rating: PG-13
Time: May 21st – May 26th
Description: Yami Bakura and Nanami share a hospital room after their disastrous mission in Venezuela. Yami Bakura will be unconscious until May 25th, but Nanami will be here all week folks awake for the most part.


The room was silent with the exception of the machines beeping to remind visitors that the two bodies in the room were still warm. Nanami spent her time awake staring at the ceiling or out the window and periodically glancing over at her dormant partner in the other hospital bed that occupied the room.

He was covered in various bandages with bruises peeking out from behind them. His hair was sticking out in a more ridiculous manner than usual due to the bandage wrapped around his head like some sweatband from the 80’s. She had been updated on his condition shortly after she regained consciousness and besides the things you could see he had also twisted an ankle and had been poisoned by one of the monsters they had tried to fight off. The antidote had been administered shortly after they had arrived at the hospital but he was still unconscious.

Nanami hadn’t managed to get off scot-free either. Aside from the usual cuts, scrapes and bruises she had some deep lacerations on the left side of her back that had been stitched up and she was still anemic.

Nanami looked confused for a second, "Oh! No, it's not a real pyramid," and she laughed only for a second because wow that jostled her stitches and felt kind of weird and a little painful. "It's a hotel shaped like a pyramid. It's all themed."

[pregames]

Of course it wasn't a real pyramid. Even after six months Atem was still getting thrown for these little looks and while he didn't find it quite so funny, he could roll his eyes. There was something unsettling about artefacts of Egypt in this world, passed down and transformed by time. Each time he faced a new one he was never quite sure of how to react. Today, it was head on.

“It sounds like we should stay there then.”

"There's a lot of really high class hotels there, the Bellagio, Caesars Palace, The Mirage, MGM Grand, and Trump Hotel." Clearly she's read quite a few travel brochures on the place. "If they took credit cards here, I could try them all. And there's so much to do there. Shopping, shows, concerts, casinos, clubs, dining..."

[pregames]

Now it was Atem's turn to laugh. Even if he hadn't been convinced, it would seem that Nanami already was. "Alright, alright. It also sounds like we could spend a month there." With that much to see and do... he was trying to picture it but there was nothing to compare.

"I wish," she sighed a little bit, "I have to get back to work soon or I won't be able to cover my part of the rent."

[pregames]

“Well... at least it’s not going anywhere.” Implying they could always go back. The mirrors were useful like that. “So it is a date?”

"Yes. It's a date."
