Characters: Yami Bakura and Nanami & and whoever would like to visit them.
Location: Hospital
Rating: PG-13
Time: May 21st – May 26th
Description: Yami Bakura and Nanami share a hospital room after their disastrous mission in Venezuela. Yami Bakura will be unconscious until May 25th, but Nanami will behere all week folks awake for the most part.
The room was silent with the exception of the machines beeping to remind visitors that the two bodies in the room were still warm. Nanami spent her time awake staring at the ceiling or out the window and periodically glancing over at her dormant partner in the other hospital bed that occupied the room.
He was covered in various bandages with bruises peeking out from behind them. His hair was sticking out in a more ridiculous manner than usual due to the bandage wrapped around his head like some sweatband from the 80’s. She had been updated on his condition shortly after she regained consciousness and besides the things you could see he had also twisted an ankle and had been poisoned by one of the monsters they had tried to fight off. The antidote had been administered shortly after they had arrived at the hospital but he was still unconscious.
Nanami hadn’t managed to get off scot-free either. Aside from the usual cuts, scrapes and bruises she had some deep lacerations on the left side of her back that had been stitched up and she was still anemic.

Clair always wondered how people could get so worked up over a couple of words. If Nanami wanted t spend more time in this hospital then that was her prerogative. He might not be the most sensitive person when it came to feelings, but he did know when to take it down a notch. This would hardly be fun if the other person would take everything as seriously as this.
As for her partner for this mission, he thought it was foolish of him to end up the way he was. Voicing his opinion on that would be most likely met with something akin to anger. People had to be so complicated, didn't they? He sighed inwardly.
"Is there something you need?"

Upon asking Nanami if she needed something, she suddenly became painfully aware of one thing she needed, "water." This was the worst case of dry throat she had ever experienced.

When he retrieved that water and a straw, he brought it over to her. Instead of handing it to her, he held it within reach for her to be able to take a drink out of it from the straw. See? He could be of assistance every now and then. It was probably being forced into manual labor at his job.

It was probably a good idea for Clair to hold the cup lest she nod off while holding it... again, even if it felt a little awkward. She sipped slowly at the water through the straw. It was hard to swallow it the first couple of times but eventually everything was moist again and she was finally able to quench her thirst. "Thank you."
