They had had to close the store for a day or two as they cleaned up the graffiti, and continued to open despite having the vandals tied up outside their door. They didn't open during the riots (it would have been foolish to do that).

At the end of everything, though, the doors were opened again. Life went on, after all.

Welcome to Metokkori R, a store where they sell more flavours of instant ramen than you can shake a stick at and various other Japanese goods and snacks. Or maybe you were more interested in coming into the Hikan Café, a family style restaurant with a friendly atmosphere. There is a mysterious third store, but, unfortunately, recent events have delayed its opening.

As usual, the stores all accept communicators as payment~.

[There are two now, actually. One of them is a guy, though.

She had just picked up a sky blue mug off the shelf when she heard her name being called. She turned and look down at Keroro.]

Hey, Keroro.

[He looks at the mug.]

No, that's all right. [No this wasn't exactly what she was looking for...] Thank you for offering, though.

[She smiled at that before looking back at the shelf.]

Are these all the mugs you have?

I can check for you, de arimasu. Was there something specific that you wanted, de arimasu? Colour? Style?

I'm not sure... [She stares at the mugs a little more, but none of them were right. Was there a particular colour she was looking for...?]

...green. [Like his eyes, she realized belatedly. She shook her head.] Actually, any colour would be all right.

Well...let's see if we can find any green ones first, de arimasu.

[Keroro drags over a stepladder (with glasses tied to them of all things), and climbs up high to the top shelves.]

How about this one, de arimasu?

[He pulls out a pale green one with a pattern of frogs on it.]

[She's...not sure why there are classes on that stepladder. They do look kind of familiar though she can't quite place where from...

She looks at the mug Keroro showed her. It's....kind of cute.]

Could I take a closer look at it?

[He goes down a few steps and holds it out to her.]

[She takes it with both hands, careful to not drop it. It really is very cute. She turns it, looking for the price sticker.]

[Rummaging! It doesn't take him long to find it though, thankfully.]

[She'll wait for him to find the box before giving him the mug to put inside.]

[He slots the mug into a round circle of cardboard before putting it into the box to prevent against breakage.]

Shall I keep this for you at the cash register until you're done shopping, de arimasu?

[She shook her head.]

I can pay for it now. This was basically all I was looking for.

Then please come this way with me, de arimasu.

[He starts walking, pikopiko, towards the cash register.]

[Aqua followed after him.]

How is your partner?

She's doing fine, de arimasu. I think she's gotten taller lately, de arimasu.

[blue_wayfinder]

That's probably normal for her age. [She's seen Keroro walking with his partner here and there. She looks like she'd be at that age where she would be growing.]

Probably, de arimasu. [He doesn't really know about Pekoponians and they're growing periods, sadly.]

...you guys have been partners for a while, now, right?

[She vaguely remembered that they were already partners when they joined the Watch, but she wasn't sure.]
