[OPEN]
Characters: Eve, Keroro, anyone affiliated with their business and YOU
Location: Metokkori R and Hikan Café
Rating: G
Time: May 17th, all day
Description: No matter how strange things got, you still needed to work.
They had had to close the store for a day or two as they cleaned up the graffiti, and continued to open despite having the vandals tied up outside their door. They didn't open during the riots (it would have been foolish to do that).
At the end of everything, though, the doors were opened again. Life went on, after all.
Welcome to Metokkori R, a store where they sell more flavours of instant ramen than you can shake a stick at and various other Japanese goods and snacks. Or maybe you were more interested in coming into the Hikan Café, a family style restaurant with a friendly atmosphere. There is a mysterious third store, but, unfortunately, recent events have delayed its opening.
As usual, the stores all accept communicators as payment~.
((OOC: Feel free to make open threads for yourself under the headings!))

He gives a deep bow back, smiling as he straightens up.]
No problem, de arimasu. Let me know if there's anything you need help with okay, de arimasu?
no subject
[At least he seems harmless enough - granted, it's hard to be too scared of someone who's only two foot tall, green or no.]
Um...actually. I was told my communicator's okay as payment here but is that on everything? Or just on some things?
[She's still figuring out how that all works]
no subject
[And he actually thinks it's kind of dumb for some of the other businesses to not accept the communicator as payment. Money is money, regardless of where it comes from.]
no subject
[Then the rest would have to wait until she had money of her own. That's okay, that's incentive for her to keep at her new job so she can afford stuff]
What kind of promotion?
no subject
[He points at a poster taped up on the sliding glass doors separating Hikan Cafe with Metokkori R.]
It was a promotion we started before the riots took place, but since we missed the last day, we're making up for it. Basically, if your order adds up to 15 Death Dollars, you get a free dessert of the day, de arimasu.
no subject
[That does sound like a pretty tempting offer. She may have to take that one on board.
But something in the way he speaks about the business has her wondering...]
Ah, are you Keroro-san?
no subject
Yes, I am, de arimasu. And you are?
no subject
[With another bow]
Eve-san mentioned you to me before...it's nice to meet you.
[Even if she didn't mention the small and green part]
no subject
[They tell each other pretty much everything.]
no subject
[Well, she supposes they had briefly discussed her working here or at the cafe, even if Anri had ultimately opted for something different.
She won't ask what was said. Even if she really kinda wants to know.]
no subject
[If Anri doesn't ask, he won't tell.]
no subject
[Especially with the whole soul connection aspect, not that it leaves her any more inclined to open up to others]
no subject
[Actually it was more of a letting-the-other-know-how-their-day-had-gone-over-dinner aspect.]
no subject
[Though she knows it's likely only a lull - even Ikebukuro had been like that, to a point]
no subject
[Especially because there are fewer hecklers and vandals in general. That doesn't mean he's going to take the anti-graffiti film off his windows though.]
no subject
[She smiles a little, then]
Well, I promise I'll come by here a lot. It's nice to have something familiar here.
no subject
[He gives her a salute and then as if remembering something, he looks around before remembering that, oh right...he couldn't just pull things out of thin air anymore like he could back in his own show.]
Give me a moment, de arimasu. I'll be right back.
no subject
[She doesn't want to hold him up, exactly, but she'll wait for him to return if while browsing a little more at the same time]
no subject
Yes, it is the super-limited Metokkori R & Stores phonestrap! Available from all Metokkori R & Stores locations, some conditions may apply.]
Here you go, de arimasu.
no subject
[Oh, she hasn't expected this. But it's clear she's touched, if surprised, by the gesture.]
Oh...thank you very much.
no subject
[Also put it on your communicator, Anri. Put it on there and give him free advertising.]
