Description: Sendo and Saya return home from Sendo's birthday dinner!
Well, as much fuss as Sendo had put up before, he actually had fun at his little birthday dinner with Saya. The food was great, even if he thought Saya’s home cooked food was better. And the wine was pretty good too. Sendo had just enough of the wine to get a nice little buzz going. He wasn’t aware of how much Saya herself had, but he figured since she was a genius and all that she would be able to tell when she had had enough.
Sendo still did feel like it was unnecessary to go out when they could have just as easily ate in their apartment or ordered takeout. But he knew it would have been impossible to convince Saya of that. Even she seemed to know how stubborn she could be.
Coming up to the door of their apartment, Sendo dug into his pocket and took out his keys. To tell the truth, Sendo always assumed the BREW might send him home before his birthday ever rolled around. And honestly, he was kind of grateful for it. He didn’t know what would happen to Saya if he left, and he felt better being here and being able to keep an eye on her. He unlocked the door, opened it up and walked inside.
"It's nice to finally be home."

(Even if she will NEVER tell him that).
Saya is indeed a (self-proclaimed) genius, however, her tolerance for alcohol is pretty low. She doesn't have enough experience with drinking to tell that, though. So a glass of wine was enough to get her a bit tipsy through the rest of the night.
When they arrive home, the girl was having too much fun to go to bed; instead, she wrapped her arm around Sendo's.
"Aha, wasn't it a good night? And you were complaining."

"So are you gonna try to drag me back out there when your birthday comes along?" Granted, they didn't have to wait for a birthday just to go out there. Be he figured heading out to a restaurant to eat might be saved only for special occasions.

"Let's drink a bit more! I have rum somewhere." for her cooking, kind of. She rarely used it, but it was good rum, anyway. Once she found it, the girl grabbed two glasses.
no subject
"I guess we could have a little. I've never really tried it before." And if she put it into the food she made, he couldn't taste it. He'd honestly never had rum before. He mostly drank beer and sometimes wine on special occasions like a big victory or something. Sendo slipped off his shoes and pulled off his coat. He tossed his coat over to drape over a chair before moving over to the couch and sitting down on it.

"You have no idea what we have in the kitchen, do you?" she chuckled "Maybe I should teach you someday."

He brings his cup to his lips and takes a sip of it. The stuff tasted pretty strong.

Saya took a big gulp of her drink after as if that would help.

"I don't have the patience for cooking anyway. You want someone's ass kicked, I'm your man. You want..boiled rice, go to Saya Takagi."

"I'm just saying, anything that involves cooking is better left to you, Genius."

"You should be very proud to have a partner with my brains~!"
no subject
"A lot of the time I am." Sendo knew he wasn't the brightest guy in the world, so having someone that was actually smart helped to balaance things out.

Saya takes another gulp of her drink, soon finding her glass empty. "We are perfect."
no subject
"Can't deny that. I'm glad to have you as my partner, Saya."
no subject
"But you really are an idiot. You don't understand anything."
no subject
"Oi! Where is this coming from now? I'm not that much of an idiot! I understand enough." At least he was pretty sure that he did.

It was hot, too. It's too warm in the living room, and of course her cheeks are red. It has nothing to do with the fact she is very close to Sendo - nope, not at all!
Saya actually does come closer, but stops when their noses almost touch. "Do I have to spell it out for you, muscle head? That I like you?"
And Saya's pink head finally drops, hoping to aim correctly and press her lips on his.

Was he surprised? Hell yeah he was. He never knew that she felt anything for him beyond friendship. But now it was kind of difficult to get the wrong idea. His mind felt blank as he sat there stunned for the first moment or two. Maybe he should have pushed her away, chalk this all up to the alcohol they had both been drinking. But..the kiss felt really good. Better than any other kiss that he’d had, that was for sure. So then, he finally gave into it and responded, pressing his lips back against hers and returning the kiss and moving his arms to drape loosely around her.

It didn't stop her from wrapping her arms around Sendo's shoulders though and climb on top of the sofa - and on top of him. It's bothersome when you are very dizzy and you have to stand, after all.
The kiss went on for a little while longer, even if it was just lips pressing together, and finally she pulled away to breathe.

"S-Saya. I didn't..I mean, I may notice a lot of things, but..I never.." How could he have known that she liked him in this way? She never made it obvious. At least not that he was aware of. Saya just must have done a very good job of hiding it, that's what he was certain of.

She closes her eyes and oh- she is actually pretty sleepy and considering her sleeping hours suck and are far too short, this is actually a good thing to indulge.
no subject
"Saya..are you still awake?"
no subject
And (un)fortunately, tomorrow she will have no recollection of it, either.

He plopped himself down upon the other end of the couch and huffed a bit. He'd stay here with her while she slept, and hopefully it would be a peaceful rest for her.
