Characters: Signless, Disciple, Psiioniic, Sollux, Feferi, and Aranea? SORRY IF I MISSED SOMEONE
Location: The Ancestor Den
Rating: PG? Maybe a bit of language.
Time: April 25th-30th? IDK However long people want to stay, just use this a catch all log xD;
Description: With the arrival of a certain catfish, there are a lot of discussions to be had.
[It was strange that it had never occurred to her that any of their "enemies" might appear here in Death City. BREW certainly worked in mysterious ways if it thought someone like the Condesce would easily lend her hand to the war effort. She supposed she should at least be grateful that it had stripped her of so many of the things that would make her a dangerous foe, but considering what the Empress' mere presence could do to some of those she held dear to her, Di wasn't feeling especially thankful.
Given that their home was away from any of the free shelters where most newcomers resided it seemed the obvious choice to open up their doors to all those trolls who would be in immediate danger of the Condesce. She scrambled around making preparations for the large host of people they would be getting--thankfully she still had all the furs she had on her person upon her first arrival and they would serve as good temporary beds until they managed to get something better.
The couch had been covered in blankets and pillows, all the furs laid out before it to make a secondary bed. Drinks were pulled out in preparation and when the first knock came she quickly marched over, peeking through the glass in the center of the door before opening it up.]

maybe it's just to keep a look out. mostly it's just to soothe his own nerves about the situation. Signless has been angry before, oh yes. this, though? this is completely a new level that he's never had to deal with and he's not sure how to quell it. it's a slow burning kind of anger and it flares slightly every time someone is upset by her.
and thinking about the situation at large? well that just is like tossing a log onto the fire. he's probably making a nasty glare into the night, but he'd still rather just sit and watch the night without disturbing anyone inside. ]

The olive troll drew a blanket around her, and futilely tried to push her bed head out of her face only to have it flop forward again. She made her way to the balcony, stopping at the door to call out to him so as not to startle him
Hon?
[She made her way to him, wrapping her arms around his waist from behind in a hug. She pressed her face to his back, laying a kiss against his shoulder blades. It was strange how even without looking at him, she could feel the anger emanating off his person. It reminded her of his last moments when that anger had near consumed him, and.she worried.]

[ that's his primary concern, feeling her at his back. his hands fall on hers, giving a reassuring pat. honestly, Signless should have thought what it would look like if she had awaken to find him not there. how silly of him... ]
no subject
It's alright. [She nuzzles his back a little, before moving to be by his side, still keeping one arm around him. She looks at him, eyes large and concerned behind tousled hair.]
How are you feeling?
no subject
I should be asking all of you that. Yet I can only feel my own irritation grow.
[ his free hand still hold that mug, but boy does he wish he could rub that growing sore spot on his head. ]
And it's very selfish, I think. You are the ones that got the worst end of it, not I. I should be doing more to make you all feel at ease instead of brooding.
no subject
It's not selfish to feel what you feel. It's not as if we have any control over that, and irritation is perfectly understandable considering everything that has happened today.
But you've opened your home, you've cared for all the others and offered your strength and comfort where it was needed so you have hardly acted in a selfish way, either.
[She gave his waist a gentle squeeze]
Remember, it's okay to think about yourself. Healthy, even.

Come here. Meul.
[ as in come sit down between his legs and allow him to wrap himself around you like a giant Signless thing. ]

Things will be alright, Kankri. She can't get any of our dear ones here, and Mituna is stronger than he thinks. We'll be by his side whenever he needs us--we won't let her hurt anyone again.
[Including you]

Yet she can still get under my husk. To know that she had a hand in your suffering... His imprisonment... And mother's...
There is an anger that boils deep within and I can't seem to shake it no matter how hard I try.
no subject
Give yourself time. Anger is not an emotion that goes away easily, especially when it is so justified.
[She bit her lip, thinking for a moment]
Is it make you want to act in some way? Or say something?
no subject
[ he's no psionic, but he can tell when something's on her mind. his thumb brushes at her cheek, offering comfort for something he cannot change. ]
Meulin, I am not about to hunt her down. However, I do not believe myself strong enough at this point not to give into some form of confrontation if we cross paths.
[ a pause... ]
Surely a few missing teeth would make her less likely to grin, yes?

It was time to open up.
Only a few steps marked her presence. She had her quiet way of sneaking up on a person. Unnoticed and unneeded, until she made her presence known.]
I think it's time we've had a talk, you and I.

[ turns to face the other troll. only polite. though, truly, the phrasing is making him somewhat uneasy. ]
What's on your mind?
no subject
Do you remember the first day we met? Or rather, you met me?
no subject
[ Aranea is a decent enough troll. Signless does not feel threatened by her presence. ]
Yes, I recall it. It wasn't that long ago.
no subject
And how you could ask me anything you want if you had them?
no subject
At it were, I still don't right at the moment.
