Description: With the arrival of a certain catfish, there are a lot of discussions to be had.

[It was strange that it had never occurred to her that any of their "enemies" might appear here in Death City. BREW certainly worked in mysterious ways if it thought someone like the Condesce would easily lend her hand to the war effort. She supposed she should at least be grateful that it had stripped her of so many of the things that would make her a dangerous foe, but considering what the Empress' mere presence could do to some of those she held dear to her, Di wasn't feeling especially thankful.

Given that their home was away from any of the free shelters where most newcomers resided it seemed the obvious choice to open up their doors to all those trolls who would be in immediate danger of the Condesce. She scrambled around making preparations for the large host of people they would be getting--thankfully she still had all the furs she had on her person upon her first arrival and they would serve as good temporary beds until they managed to get something better.

The couch had been covered in blankets and pillows, all the furs laid out before it to make a secondary bed. Drinks were pulled out in preparation and when the first knock came she quickly marched over, peeking through the glass in the center of the door before opening it up.]

...point. [Very good point, in fact. Yet she still couldn't help but worry that Kankri would come to regret the action or may still be hurt. Not to mention the trouble it could land him in with law enforcement. She tilts her head up to look at him, eyes filled with worry.]

I hope it does not come down to that but if it does...please be careful.

[ with another little sigh, he offers a small smile and a press of lips to her forehead. ]

We both know I'm not entirely prone to fits of irrationality. That witch pushes my limits, true, but I must remember that you, Mitnuna, and the kids are the important ones here.

[She relaxes a tiny bit and nods.]

At least not too many fits of irrationality. [She smiles at him] But thank you, dear. Whatever you do or want, I'll always be there for you.

Even if it's a head on a stake in the middle of Death City for all to see?

[ completely a joke, from the way he's grinning. ]

[She raises an eyebrow at him, trying to hold down a smile]

Now it's my turn to say I am glad to never have been on the end of your wrath.

I'm not certain anyone has.

You are terribly adorable right now... Thank you.

[She laughed]

You always say that. [She taps his nose] And you know I'm always happy to listen to you, and help however I can.

Not always. Only when it's apurrpriate.

[She turned around so she could hug him]

You spoil me you know that?

[ and he will continue to hold her close. cling onto her like she's some sort of anchor. ]

My dear lady... Whatefur are you talking about?

I am pawsitive I'm talking about the fact you are one-hundred purrcent purrecious and that you make me so very, very happy.

[Her own grip doesn't lessen, and as playful as she is being there is still some concern in her eyes. She puts a hand to his cheek, stroking it with her thumb.]

You have only yourself to thank for that. I would not be the troll I am today, if not for you. Or, perhaps, I would know be the troll that you know better than he does, at times.

[ he puts his hand over hers, holding it there and closing his eyes. ]

And I feel absolutely childish and chided right about now.

[She can't help but snicker a little. Maybe she is chiding you a wee bit, Signless, but she does it out of love.]

The sentiment is mewtual....well, the furst in any case.

[ pressing a little kiss to her forehead. ]

And I really am thankful that you are here with me.
