Characters: Signless, Disciple, Psiioniic, Sollux, Feferi, and Aranea? SORRY IF I MISSED SOMEONE
Location: The Ancestor Den
Rating: PG? Maybe a bit of language.
Time: April 25th-30th? IDK However long people want to stay, just use this a catch all log xD;
Description: With the arrival of a certain catfish, there are a lot of discussions to be had.
[It was strange that it had never occurred to her that any of their "enemies" might appear here in Death City. BREW certainly worked in mysterious ways if it thought someone like the Condesce would easily lend her hand to the war effort. She supposed she should at least be grateful that it had stripped her of so many of the things that would make her a dangerous foe, but considering what the Empress' mere presence could do to some of those she held dear to her, Di wasn't feeling especially thankful.
Given that their home was away from any of the free shelters where most newcomers resided it seemed the obvious choice to open up their doors to all those trolls who would be in immediate danger of the Condesce. She scrambled around making preparations for the large host of people they would be getting--thankfully she still had all the furs she had on her person upon her first arrival and they would serve as good temporary beds until they managed to get something better.
The couch had been covered in blankets and pillows, all the furs laid out before it to make a secondary bed. Drinks were pulled out in preparation and when the first knock came she quickly marched over, peeking through the glass in the center of the door before opening it up.]

Am frightened, [he admits.] But not only for self.
Saw that you talked to her.
[Is still torn between wanting as much data as possible and certainty of finding out nothing good.]

They are very similar to each other. I had to know for sure.

[He wishes had been brave enough to confront her.]
If you can, would like to know what happened. Saw that vast majority of conversations were encrypted quickly.

Mostly, she wanted to know how things worked in Death City, and I acquiesced. I knew it was only a matter of time before she knew how things worked here, and I would rather have had the information came from me rather than have her extort it physically from somebody. But in the end I gave her reason to realize that I am going to defy her and she quickly ceased conversing.
man, my tenses are over the place - sorry!
[He wished he could keep self from granting her distinction of particular emphasis always put on pronoun when referring to her. But had trouble typing--and saying--proper title, and knew now wasn't time to attempt modifying habits.]
Wouldn't have thought to do that.
[Couldn't have, in truth. Had been too busy trying to control reaction to her presence.]
It's how it works isn't it?
every time XD
Have to admit, plan to hack everything later. Should probably get permission from those care about...
[That didn't think of that before was further proof that needed to calm mind.]
Would rather hear essentials from you, anyway, and thoughts you have on. On what she said.

[Psii still didn't know how to feel about her becoming slave to demon's will. Saw the poetic justice in it, and yet, knew better than possibly any other troll what was like to be merely tool for someone else's use. Felt flicker of pity for her, awful and irresistible, and banished it by telling self she was far too arrogant to recognize position. Probably thought she was using demon.]
Can't hope that her ignorance will last. Wish could predict what she will do, but. [Didn't like thinking about it; made him feel as if skin were crawling.] Am not sure how she will attempt to compensate for loss of powers.

We can expect that she will do what all despots do when they come into a situation where their influence are negated: find, cajole, steal, and manipulate others until they have received the same power they have grown accustomed to once again. And know what I know of her, she's not above playing the part of a good citizen until such an opportunity arises. You may not realize it, but she's very aware of the difference in timing to attack and when to withhold aggression.

[Also known as everyone. Psii was sure she considered conquests as much her victories as if had achieved them singlehandedly. Reminder of own role in making them possible was especially unwelcome today. Felt very selfish to fear that she would try to... to use him again for same purpose, when friends were in danger too, but he was afraid of that.
Death City was different world, he told himself again. From what had observed of humans, she was unlikely to find much support once true motives were revealed.]
But can warn people about her. Take away ability to present self as sympathetic.

Think will have to, eventually. And deal with consequences. She has very few options. Will realize it soon. Most likely already has.
[There was something else he'd wanted to talk to AA about, but was more reluctant to. Felt almost as if had let her down by failing to have civil conversation with her friend.]
Imagine you know talked to Meenah.
no subject
Yeah, I did. I can think of very few things that would have such a profound effect on her.
no subject
Didn't go well. But didn't think she was bothered by that.
no subject
Well, it's hard for her to back down once she puts her honor as an heiress on the line. I can't imagine any outcome would have been beneficial. I just hope she knows what she's doing.

[Felt woolbeastlike, thinking of it now, but also still angry. Thought could have conducted self better, even though was amply provoked.]

Don't think you're talking about same thing as self.
no subject
...you know I was just starting to get that feeling too. What were you talking about?
no subject
[Ouch. Felt weirder than usual to say.]
no subject
Okay.
Tell me about your talk with Meenah.
no subject
She made angrier than have been in long time. Said... should have been grateful was kept alive.
no subject
And that's good.
That you got angry, I mean.
no subject
It is?
Felt terrible.
