Description: Another small BREW hiccup results in another "round" of unexpected newcomers into the city.

Just like last time, a very small group of individuals has appeared within Death City, and just like last time, no one even knew about it. Fortunately things have been relatively calm these past few days and it's an especially warm day today, so at least any impromptu help and touring should go smoothly.

[ooc: Just like last time, this is a consolidated log for the volunteer intro buddy system. Either the new character or the volunteer can start the thread. Not in charge, but I usually run one when BREW happens to warn us of new arrivals.

Is there a pattern to the arrivals? Or is it all random?

There's usually a few weeks' delay between arrivals, but BREW has been acting peculiar.

Has BREW been active since the start of the war? Might be wearin' down or something is interfering with it.

Not in this manner. BREW is active because of Shinigami-sama's wish.

He wished for people to be brought here?

It's not like that. He wanted help to defeat the witches and protect Death City in memory of his father. However, with the vagueness of the wish, it left BREW to interpret how to answer on its own.

Didn't work out as planned... [He knows a few things about that. And some of the people he's worked with as well.] I'm guessing that reversing the wish isn't simple either. Imagine I wouldn't be here if it was that easy.

Yes. The wish must be fulfilled before we can leave.

Winning the war then. No small feat... but long as people work together on this. [No use in being pessimistic about it. It's not gonna be his last war anyway.]

Unfortunately, Guests are divided and I can't trust a number of them.

[She scowls.]

... I believe not all Guests are invested in trying leave by ending this war. I have a feeling, just like some before, that more are trailing down the path of Kishins.

[There's something else, but she's not disclosing that information. It's personal.]

Kishins. Are they associated with the Witches?

[Looks like there's more to the war than he originally thought. Course war is always complex, he just wants to do the right thing still.]

Kishin eggs will be the common enemy on your missions. Kishin are the fully formed 'demon gods'. Either way, they were humans who decided to forfeit their humanity for power by consuming an innocent soul.

[Slowly taking this in.] Kishin eggs were humans then? Well, evil humans.

Yes. It's best you understand this now so you're not running into this war without knowing.

We're killing human souls. And everyone is sure that all Kishin are evil? Thought the war was against the Witches. [He's becoming a little doubtful about this. Sure he can understand defending against the Witches that attack people in Death City, but this is a bit different.]

They're corrupt souls and if you want to research a possible method to change them back, you're allowed to. Kishin and Witches are on the same side. [Naoto doesn't have anything against this.]

[Course Steve is not unfamiliar to killing people, especially because of World War II.]

And the Kishin Eggs continue to devour innocent souls?

Yes. And they'll continue to devour them unless we defeat them and collect their souls.

[Well, if they're going to attack innocent souls, he's not gonna stand for that either. Though this is the first time where he's dealt with going against souls themselves. It's a bit to take in. Kinda of a delicate matter, if you ask him.]

What happens with their souls?

Weapons collect them and Shinigami-sama takes them. Of course, there's a step before they're safe to be distributed to the world again.

[Finally, the x-ray machine. She powers it on.]

Their souls are restored then? Since they're distributed among the world afterward.

[He stands there as the x-ray turns on.]
