[ semi-closed] they just keep trickling in
Characters: New guests and their volunteer helpers
Location: Around Shibusen
Rating: G
Time: April 19-20
Description: Another small BREW hiccup results in another "round" of unexpected newcomers into the city.
Just like last time, a very small group of individuals has appeared within Death City, and just like last time, no one even knew about it. Fortunately things have been relatively calm these past few days and it's an especially warm day today, so at least any impromptu help and touring should go smoothly.
[ooc: Just like last time, this is a consolidated log for the volunteer intro buddy system. Either the new character or the volunteer can start the thread. For each thread, indicate the character names in the subject line. Whether or not another character is pulled in is up to the players, BUT the threads are closed to the initial partnered characters (hence the "semi-closed" label.
The new characters are also free to start a thread with one another if they so wish.]

By what name is it called? And for that matter, what of yours?

To be honest, Hades is somewhat at a loss. It is obvious that some sort of introducing explanation would be in place, but explaining things, especially in a manner that gives full context and is frank rather than riddled with word plays, isn't any of those things that he is very good with.]
This is Shibusen. [He places his hand on one of the walls to show that he means the building.] The city is called Death City. The local reigning god messed up and has summoned a lot of people from worlds that isn't this in order to help them fight their war against what they call the forces of insanity.
[Did he miss something? Oh yeah.. ]
Tell the next person you meet here that you are a "guest" and they shall explain it to you properly.

I see thou art still being leery of answering my questions in full, as well.

[He blinks as if that wasn't a thing that crossed his mind as being important and then shrugs. Introductions is another thing Hades is not good at.]
...They call me Hades, King of the Dead. I am the god of death, evil, insanity, riches and quite a lot more.

I am Kiriha, tsukumogami of the obi!

... I guess that means that humans would consider you old.

[Her acting like an immature brat half the time doesn't help either]
And of course, it be in no way to imply that I am past my prime!
[Well, technically she is, but only because Kazuya is not nearly as awesome at wielding her as his mom was]

His smile turns a touch pleased.]
Age weakens but also makes some things more tough. I wonder how it will be for you to deal with your role in this place.
[He pauses for a moment.]
Do you believe in souls?
no subject
[She's never thought about it directly, but she probably believes in something more or less like what people would call a soul. It's what makes her different from a normal obi, isn't it?]

[She sounds pretty dubious about the idea]

Making somebody you care about stronger, if you aren't.
[He shrugs his shoulders as if he doesn't really care.]

Asking your mirror later on might be better. [meaning: ask about it over the network, using the communication device that looks like a pocket mirror]

[The sweet smell and taste of decay as things kept becoming sweeter and sweeter just before they began to spoil.. Addictions are bad things when you are a god.]
