[ semi-closed] they just keep trickling in

Characters: New guests and their volunteer helpers
Location: Around Shibusen

Time: April 19-20
Description: Another small BREW hiccup results in another "round" of unexpected newcomers into the city.

Just like last time, a very small group of individuals has appeared within Death City, and just like last time, no one even knew about it. Fortunately things have been relatively calm these past few days and it's an especially warm day today, so at least any impromptu help and touring should go smoothly.

[ooc: Just like last time, this is a consolidated log for the volunteer intro buddy system. Either the new character or the volunteer can start the thread. For each thread, indicate the character names in the subject line. Whether or not another character is pulled in is up to the players, BUT the threads are closed to the initial partnered characters (hence the "semi-closed" label.

The new characters are also free to start a thread with one another if they so wish.]

[ Domino City. A place she's never heard of. Then again, her knowledge of Japan was fairly limited despite where she came from. For a while she thought it to be Japan, but then when things had begun to fall into place... ]

You just arrived? [He snapped the info up like a shark a small bleeding mammal in the water. The clueless little new players just kept coming and coming at this place, didn't they?

Keeping up his little charade, he made sure that none of his thoughts showed on his face as he gave her an awkward little smile.] Well... I'm not sure? You took the tour where they explained to everybody what's going on, right? I can't remember there being any word about BREW activating again...

They explained a little bit in the tutorial. [ She talks as though she's playing a game and she has every reason to believe she is. Having come from a world like that, it's no surprise in the slightest that there's a tutorial stage. ] Now I'm trying to find a shop and study a little more before I return to my room.

Then he shrugs his shoulders.]

There is a small shop close to the entry hall. The library is down in the city, though. You already know your room even though you're new?

No, I don't.

[ Holding up a finger as she explains. ] I had a room in the last world I was at, so I was under the impression I would have one here too. Where else would I call my base that no one else can enter?

[ She's grateful for the explanation as to where the shop is though as she bows her head. ]

I'll have to pay those two places a visit soon.

..Right.

I don't know about nobody else being able to enter it, but they provide you with a basic living space if you explain your circumstances to them. Ask for Stein or Spirit. They'll also see to it that you'll get a communication device and a bit of cash.

...oh, and they'll look at your soul.

[ Maybe she does. Isn't that all she has? This body was borrowed, but it feels every much like her own now. ]

[He raises an eyebrow, but then shrugs, smirking naughtily.]

I wouldn't worry about that. I don't have a proper one either, not to mention a body, and since I'm here I've been provided with both. They take souls very important here and BREW seems to have a way to make sure everybody it drags in 'qualifies'.

As for the other... I guess you could say that I qualified as an undead back where I came from.

Something like that. A soul that has been torn out violently and is now being given a new chance. [Which is a notably nice way of putting having become a vengeful spirit after meeting a violent death and his gratuitous habit of body-stealing. To be fair he only stole the one of the same guy over and over again. But still.]

Your home sounds like an interesting place.
