Description: Welcome to Death City!


The city was in good shape today, despite the recent attack to it and the unfortunate earthquake a month back. The damages to the city had been repaired best as they could, and everything else was covered in a healthy heap of decor for the upcoming Valentine’s Day.

Things were a bit somber, as was expected after so many of the residents lost their loved ones. Fortunately, if there was something Death City was good at, it was getting back on its feet after a fall.

"The last major event you mean?" Touma replied. "Yggdrasil was defeated. We saved both worlds. The digimon... Gaomon and everyone went back home."

Chika nodded. "Okay. That... well, at least that makes things a bit easier. I don't need to worry about spilling anything too important. Though apparently we don't remember this place if we go back home anyway so I guess that doesn't matter all that much either..."

"... That's a bit disconcerting," Touma replied.

Chika nodded. "Yeah, it kinda is. I guess people here just get used to the thought... or just decide not to think about it. I mean, it's not like we can make BREW send us home after all."

[touma_h_norstein]

"... can you tell me more about this BREW?" Touma asked.

[scatterflower]

Chika shook her head. "I... probably not. All I really know about it came from my own intro tour a couple of months ago. Honestly, I don't even know of Shibusen really knows how that thing works or not."

[touma_h_norstein]

"... That's troubling," Touma replied. "Seriously troubling. It requires more research."

[scatterflower]

She nods. "Yeah. Though they kinda have their hands full with a lot of other things. You know, what with the witches and them trying to kill us. Even the ones here who aren't planning on fighting with Shibusen."

[touma_h_norstein]

"I see... well, I suppose the best place to start is in the library," Touma said with a sigh.

Chika grinned, smiling a bit. "Well, maybe you should get settled in here first. I mean, you kinda need to get more clothes than just what you're wearing, right? Have you already gotten your apartment yet?"

[touma_h_norstein]

Touma blinked. Had he really forgotten all of that?

"Ah... no," he said, blushing and feeling quite embarassed.

Chika giggled, grinning a bit. Wow, so even Touma would forget important stuff sometimes? That was really good to know. "Alright then! We need to go get you back to Casualty Communal to get that taken care of. Come on, I'll show you the way back."

"Alright," Touma replied, nodding. "Lead the way."

"Let's go!" Chika said, grinning a bit more as she started heading towards it, occasionally turning around to look over at Touma. "Hey Touma-kun, have you found out if you're a meister or weapon yet?"

[touma_h_norstein]

"I'm a meister," Touma said, walking forward to keep step with her. "What about you?"

"Same here!" Chika chirped, grinning a bit. "Masaru-niichan was one for a while, then BREW decided to send him back and bring him back as a weapon. He turns into a copy of his digivice now."

[touma_h_norstein]

Touma blinked. "Oh really. What effect does it have here?" he asked.

[scatterflower]

Chika blinked, trying to think about it for a moment. How to describe it. Though really, there was no way she could other than...

"ShineGreymon's burst mode, basically."

[touma_h_norstein]

Touma blinked.

"Potent," was all he managed to say, looking quite surprised.

[scatterflower]

"Yep!" Chika said, grinning a bit. "It was pretty different, controlling fire like that and shaping it into different types of weapons."

[touma_h_norstein]

"I see... so you've wielded him, as it were?"

[scatterflower]

"Yeah, once. The mission went alright. I wasn't really all that hurt, though I did have several puncture marks in my arms for a while," Chika said. "Masaru-niichan just became a weapon at the time and I wanted to keep him from doing anything stupid. He's partnered to Tavros now."

Yeah, she was still insisting her brother was going to be back for sure.

"I see... and who is this 'Tavros'?"

[scatterflower]

"Oh, he's a pretty nice person," Chika said. "Apparently he's from an alien race called 'Trolls'; I haven't really talked to him all that much yet."

[touma_h_norstein]

"... An alien," Touma replied, eyes wide. "There really all sorts here..."
