Description: Welcome to Death City!


The city was in good shape today, despite the recent attack to it and the unfortunate earthquake a month back. The damages to the city had been repaired best as they could, and everything else was covered in a healthy heap of decor for the upcoming Valentine’s Day.

Things were a bit somber, as was expected after so many of the residents lost their loved ones. Fortunately, if there was something Death City was good at, it was getting back on its feet after a fall.

"I see... well, I suppose the best place to start is in the library," Touma said with a sigh.

Chika grinned, smiling a bit. "Well, maybe you should get settled in here first. I mean, you kinda need to get more clothes than just what you're wearing, right? Have you already gotten your apartment yet?"

[touma_h_norstein]

Touma blinked. Had he really forgotten all of that?

"Ah... no," he said, blushing and feeling quite embarassed.

Chika giggled, grinning a bit. Wow, so even Touma would forget important stuff sometimes? That was really good to know. "Alright then! We need to go get you back to Casualty Communal to get that taken care of. Come on, I'll show you the way back."

[touma_h_norstein]

"Alright," Touma replied, nodding. "Lead the way."

"Let's go!" Chika said, grinning a bit more as she started heading towards it, occasionally turning around to look over at Touma. "Hey Touma-kun, have you found out if you're a meister or weapon yet?"

[touma_h_norstein]

"I'm a meister," Touma said, walking forward to keep step with her. "What about you?"

"Same here!" Chika chirped, grinning a bit. "Masaru-niichan was one for a while, then BREW decided to send him back and bring him back as a weapon. He turns into a copy of his digivice now."

[touma_h_norstein]

Touma blinked. "Oh really. What effect does it have here?" he asked.

[scatterflower]

Chika blinked, trying to think about it for a moment. How to describe it. Though really, there was no way she could other than...

"ShineGreymon's burst mode, basically."

[touma_h_norstein]

Touma blinked.

"Potent," was all he managed to say, looking quite surprised.

"Yep!" Chika said, grinning a bit. "It was pretty different, controlling fire like that and shaping it into different types of weapons."

[touma_h_norstein]

"I see... so you've wielded him, as it were?"

[scatterflower]

"Yeah, once. The mission went alright. I wasn't really all that hurt, though I did have several puncture marks in my arms for a while," Chika said. "Masaru-niichan just became a weapon at the time and I wanted to keep him from doing anything stupid. He's partnered to Tavros now."

Yeah, she was still insisting her brother was going to be back for sure.

"I see... and who is this 'Tavros'?"

[scatterflower]

"Oh, he's a pretty nice person," Chika said. "Apparently he's from an alien race called 'Trolls'; I haven't really talked to him all that much yet."

[touma_h_norstein]

"... An alien," Touma replied, eyes wide. "There really all sorts here..."

[scatterflower]

"Yeah, there really is," Chika said. "Lots of different people. Quite a few of them not being human either. There's an intelligent wolf, two things that kinda look like talking frogs, and a bunch of other strange people too. Though it's nothing really that far out of the ordinary, considering what we know of."

[touma_h_norstein]

"Heh. Reminds one of the digital world, really," Touma said with a smile.

[scatterflower]

"I guess it kinda would. I never got to see it though, so I wouldn't know," Chika said. "... Oh, Touma. What type of weapon do you think you're going to want to go with if you have a choice?"

[touma_h_norstein]

Touma thought for a moment, before speaking.

"Preferably one that suits a hand-to-hand combat style, I suppose," he replied.

[scatterflower]

Chika smiled. "So, you're ideal weapon is kinda similar to mine, as far as type of weapon is concerned. That's good to know. Too bad there doesn't seem to be that many here in Death City that would work well for that though."

[touma_h_norstein]

"Hm. Well, I can always adapt... or at the very least, find some other way to use my abilities."

[scatterflower]

"That's true," Chika said. "I mean, you're a licensed doctor. They could probably use you over at the clinic."

[touma_h_norstein]

"That is a thought," Touma said with a nod.
