Cooking classes [Open]

Description: Like Saya offered, she is now teaching people how to cook. Just beware of the kitten - Brawl - that might try to steal your food.

Feel free to have your character to drop by even if you didn't tag the original post (we can always hand-wave the pep-talk).
If your character will show up on another day, that's fine too. They don't have to come on the 11th since she will be teaching people all through the month c:

[ She is ready to begin her classes. Well, not that she thinks of herself as teacher material, but Saya is a genius great at everything she does and teaching others could be fun (or incredibly frustrating, but she hopes it won't be the case).

The girl has bought all ingredients she believes it will be necessary and her kitchen looks like it came out of a cooking magazine. Yes, Saya is proud of herself.

Now she just needs to wait for her students.]

[ Saya comes to the door, offering Takuto a small smile. he does look a bit... upset?, maybe, but she doesn't mention it yet ]

Hello. Come in. [ she lets him in, looking over her shoulder ] What's the recipe?

[tauborn]

Cake.

[And as he steps inside, he proffers a small piece of paper with the recipe in rather neat handwriting. Obviously it's a girl's writing (and Takuto probably would have decorated the recipe with stars or poorly-drawn strawberries).]

Yako made a cake using this recipe, and I tried to help, but I wasn't much good. I've never done any baking before....

[But he looks determined to learn! Though he might also be peering behind Saya a little curiously, wondering what she was glancing at.]

[ she takes the paper, reading it quickly. Okay then. It's easy. ]

Are you okay? You look upset. [ the girl heads to the kitchen ]

Uh, no, I'm fine. I just... went through a lot of trouble this morning to get that recipe....

[He follows to the kitchen, impressed by all her cooking gadgetry.]

A quest? [ she teases, though Saya doesn't sound like she is teasing.

Either way she memorizes the recipe and hands it back to takuto, grabbing two aprons and giving one to the boy ] Here we go.

[He raises an eyebrow at the apron, but puts it on anyway.]

Actually, it was a lot like a quest.

[He looks around the kitchen, ready to get started on baking the cake.] So, how do we start?

[ she puts her apron - pink cute kittens. At least takuto's isn't pink. - and points to the water tap ] First of all, wash your hands.

We don't want germs on the cake.

[tauborn]

Right.

[And he washes his hands thoroughly with soap and warm water. And then turns back to her, hands dripping as he looks for a towel.]

Let's start. [ saya washes her hands too ]

First, you need to make sure you have all the utensils you will need [ Saya points to the counter ] Which you obviously have. Don't worry, you won't be using all of them.

And then ingredients. It's good to know what you are searching for - baking powder, baking soda, not everyone has seen those. Have you?

[ she points to the fridge ] You have a list of them, go grab the cold ingredients and I will grab the powders. Strawberries are by the last shelf.

[He follows her pointing and stares for quite a long time at the baking powder and baking soda and then looks at the recipe again. With a deep breath, he heads to the fridge and starts searching for the right ingredients.]

Wow, these strawberries look really good.

[He has to make two trips because the last thing he wants to do is drop the eggs.]

My fridge seems really empty compared to yours....

[ She laughs ] When you live with Sendo, you learn to keep stocks of food. He eats a lot.

[ though it's mostly because Saya cooks for him, she figures. The girl places all the ingredients she grabbed over the counter ] So. We have what we need.

And an advice? If you can do it yourself, do it. Like the wiped cream. Home cooked things are much better than what you buy already done - you don't know what's in those. [ and now the fun part starts. She points to the flour ] That is your basic ingredient. Pour it, you will be doing everything by yourself.

[ go ahead Takuto. Make a mess and she will bitch ]

[Takuto finds it a little strange that he's actually never met Sendo, even though he considers himself to be pretty close to Saya and he knows that Sendo is her partner.

But it's not time to dwell on that, because he's supposed to be measuring flour now.]

Got it.

[It... doesn't go as smoothly as he hoped it might. He's hardly got the bag open before he's coughing floury dust and spilling it over the edges of his measuring cup.]

[ and Saya has to put a hand over her mouth, in order not to laugh. With a teasing smile she looks over his shoulder ] Don't sneeze now. We don't want the whole kitchen turning white.
