[OPEN] Love Shack
Characters: OPEN
Location: Nocturne Bazaar
Rating: Gen… Maybe. Don't do anything you wouldn't tell your mother about!
Time: April 3rd, April 4th
Description: The "attraction" was quite the hit last time. Who will you find yourself shacked up with now?
The island the Bazaar sits on is certainly big, but who thought they'd be able to fit an entire river on top of it? The line for the ride is just as large as you'd think it'd be, and it's been split in two with a tall screen to prevent people in both sides from seeing the other.
The staffers operating the line don't seem to care about making it grow; they're literally pulling people unlucky enough to wander too close and shoving them in a line before they can protest. You could try to get away, but the rest of the crowd's pushing impatiently forward and before long, you're up.
You might as well just get it over with. Hopefully the company's nice.
((ooc; this log takes place over both the first day and the second day. please use the subject line indicator [ NAME | DATE | OPEN/CLOSED ] and keep in mind that during the second day, characters will likely be under the effects of growing madness!))

[Bakura Ryou | April 3 | Closed to Yuugi]
But with Yuugi with him and happily chatting away when there was a push from behind, propelling him towards the ride. He had just enough time to see Takuto give him a wink as he sauntered off before he and Yuugi were escorted towards a waiting boat.
Wait-- wait-- what-- but--
There was a small bubble of panic as he looked from Takuto's retreating form to Yuugi to the ride they were being guided to. While one part of him was actually rather thankful for the prank (because there was no other way he would have been able to go on this ride with Yuugi...!) a larger part of him was panicking that somehow, Takuto knew. It was one thing for Ryuzaki to have figured it out, he was the nosy, super smart detective, but Takuto?! Takuto shouldn't have even known that he liked any boys at all, never the less Yuugi! Did that mean he was that obvious?! Did Yuugi know already?!
He looked over at his friend, trying to judge his reaction to it all, trying to keep all his own hidden until he could see what Yuugi's response would be....]]

Wait a second. That sign over there. The tunnel of...?
Oh boy. Suddenly he can't help remembering all the weird stuff Takuto said to him the first time they met in person, about Bakura looking for Yuugi and talking about him all the time and how he meant so much to him and Takuto didn't really jump to the conclusion that they were like that did he?!? This is just a practical joke. Right?
... Oh boy. Yuugi goes red and tries to protest as he is half-dragged over to a rather ridiculous swan-shaped boat, but it does no good whatsoever and a few short moments later, he and Bakura are seated side by side--along with Bakura's new stuffed toy, which is really crowding the tiny boat--and about to embark on a journey of love together (at least, that's what the staffer tells them before pushing them off.)
Awkwaaaard.]

Damnit, Takuto-kun!
What should he do? Should he say something? But what? Maybe...]]
Well... I guess we did want to go on every ride...
[[He peters out, glancing back over at Yuugi again, awkward and nervous and everything in between]]
no subject
I guess we did...
[Every ride except for this one, but now it's too late to do anything except wait until it's over. Gah, Takuto.]
Uh... I don't know what Takuto-kun was thinking.
[That's a lie but it's a lie to cover up awkward, and is therefore forgivable, right?]
no subject
He doesn't seem the type to pull pranks, does he?
[[There was no way this wasn't going to end badly!]]
no subject
Yuugi is almost grateful they've entered the tunnel itself now and it's too dark for Bakura to see his face.]
I didn't think so either.
[Awkward pause.]
He might just have the wrong idea... Like before...
no subject
Like before...?
[[TAKUTO WHAT HAVE YOU DONE]]
no subject
You know, when he thought we'd had a fight or something!
no subject
Blink]]
Why would he think something like that...?
no subject
He thought you and I were from different times and that we, uh... had some kind of argument, but we didn't. [He scratches his cheek.] And he also said he thought you had something you couldn't tell me right now...
[His tone is cautiously neutral, because just in case Bakura does have some kind of secret that he's keeping, Yuugi doesn't want to seem as though he's prying. Though he's pretty sure Bakura's only big secret was about not avoiding the spirit of the Ring, and he already knows that now, so...]
no subject
Where there sure as anything was something that he couldn't ever tell, however...]]
...I don't think I've ever said anything to Takuto-kun that could sound even anything like that....
[[.....]]
I don't even think I ever mentioned anything about different times at all... or even mentioned anything to him about you after you arrived...
[[There's a growing, uncomfortable feeling right now... Well. A new kind of uncomfortable.]]
no subject
Yeah... [He resists the urge to sigh.] I guess the other Bakura told him something weird.
[There's a note of sympathy in his voice; he has only a vague idea of what it must be like to have someone imitate him without his knowledge--he doesn't remember a lot about what it was like when it happened to him--but he does feel badly for his friend for having to deal with it.
... The other Bakura just can't live with himself unless he's causing confusion somehow, can he?]
no subject
Aaaa~aaah! After he said he'd stopped pretending...! That stupid jerk!
[[he slumped forward, resting his forehead against the overstuffed plush]]
Now I have to talk to Takuto-kun about him, don't I...?
[[his voice was tired and a touch muffled from the plush]]
no subject
[Takuto, he means. Not the other Bakura, because he already figures how well that would turn out.]
no subject
no subject
[The other Bakura is too good at creating problems; there's no way just one person should have to deal with that, okay.]
no subject
no subject
It's not your fault...
[He believes that much. There's more at work regarding the items and the spirits within them than they realize or can control. There always has been.]
no subject
He always ruins everything, doesn't he? Even when he's not right here. He makes it so I can't ever forget about him, no matter what....
no subject
Bakura-kun...
[He's not really sure what to say, though. He can't empathize, not really, because his own other self is so... different from the other Bakura. Sympathy, now, he can do that. And he does, his tone soft and almost apologetic.]
There being another you... I don't think we're supposed to be able to forget something like that.
no subject
[[He looks down at his left hand, tracing over the slightly faded scar]]
no subject
[He's quiet for another moment, thinking.] I wouldn't want to forget about the other Bakura. In a way it's because of him that we were able to become friends.
[Not that he wants to shake the spirit's hand for what he'd done during that game of Monster World or anything. But still... In the end, he'd much rather having to put up with the other Bakura than to never have met the 'real' Bakura at all.]
no subject
[[While it was true, the path of hardships, the bouncing from school to school, feeling almost like a ghost apart from the world until he had to move again...
Even if he had become good friends with Yuugi in the end... there was no way...!]]
no subject
But there's a lot I don't understand. [He admits softly, his thumb tracing the edge of his Puzzle. He still doesn't believe that forgetting everything is anything to wish for, but he can't judge Bakura for having that thought.
Not when he's beginning to realize much more clearly the burden his friend bears. It's so different being the other Yuugi's partner.]
no subject
I never forgot about Monster World... [[His voice is soft and almost a touch distant]] I never forgot the important things... Just that he hadn't died there. Especially after---
[[He cut himself (and the thought) off. Not that he ever liked to think about that, but now was really not the time for it....! But he couldn't just leave that like that, Yuugi would want to know what he had been about to say...]]
...Especially after Duelist Kingdom...
