[OPEN] Love Shack
Characters: OPEN
Location: Nocturne Bazaar
Rating: Gen… Maybe. Don't do anything you wouldn't tell your mother about!
Time: April 3rd, April 4th
Description: The "attraction" was quite the hit last time. Who will you find yourself shacked up with now?
The island the Bazaar sits on is certainly big, but who thought they'd be able to fit an entire river on top of it? The line for the ride is just as large as you'd think it'd be, and it's been split in two with a tall screen to prevent people in both sides from seeing the other.
The staffers operating the line don't seem to care about making it grow; they're literally pulling people unlucky enough to wander too close and shoving them in a line before they can protest. You could try to get away, but the rest of the crowd's pushing impatiently forward and before long, you're up.
You might as well just get it over with. Hopefully the company's nice.
((ooc; this log takes place over both the first day and the second day. please use the subject line indicator [ NAME | DATE | OPEN/CLOSED ] and keep in mind that during the second day, characters will likely be under the effects of growing madness!))

The Signless gave a bit of a smirk at that, a tiny quirk of a lip. Something like that was either going to earn him a blush or a swat. It would make for a nice fantasy later anyway. Right now the focus was on the boat ride, yes? Well then, attention to this ride he would give. The Signless wrapped an arm around his lady, cloak now draping over her as well.

She knows he was likely aiming to make her blush so she tries not to but it's hard to keep the color from rising to her cheeks after a comment like that.
"You're lucky I don't toss you overboard." She said this even as she drew closer, enjoying the warmth that he and his cloak brought.

Now, though? Now wasn't too bad at all. What more could one want other than having their significant other all huddled close. "I'm far too cute for you to even consider such a thing."

She slipped her arm out of his so that she could wrap it around his waist and lean against him, resting her head on his shoulder, and being mindful of her horns. They could be such a bother at times.
"Truth enough. Cute can't save you from everything though. Fortunately for you, you have other defenses."
no subject
He kept his arm around her. If he had the ability, he would have rested his head upon hers, but that would have been a touch awkward. Oh the times that he wished that horns were not a part of troll anatomy. Instead his fingers would just have to knead at her shoulder a bit. "Like a furrocious huntress at my side? Or are you speaking about my warmth?"

Here, with nothing but the sound of moving water and the muted sound of the carnival beyond the walls she felt freer.
"That along with numerous other things about you. Like your smile, and your wit, and your humor. I could go on but I'm certain if I began I would be going on for quite some time."
She tilted her head so she could nuzzle his cheek and seek out his ear. Speaking with still incredibly difficult for her, and her tongue felt so cumbersome in her mouth but she had made enough progress that she could at least say this.
"Love you...Kankri." And without a moment of hesitation, she followed that up with pulling his face towards hers for a kiss. A bit of revenge? Perhaps.

Though being in a tunnel like this, with her slightly cooler body tucked next to his... Well it just was easier to forget everything else existed. Poor Sollux, indeed.
The nuzzle was welcomed and he chuckled at her hand gestures. Di was completely biased, but the Signless wasn't about to correct her. In fact, he was about to press a kiss to her cheek and perhaps make an off hand comment when he heard that raspy voice. Speaking certainly was a struggle for her, he could tell. Yet just hearing it, somewhat damaged or rough? He was glad for the kiss, for he might have just initiated one himself. So instead he returned it, wrapping his arms around her tight. If she was not going to allow him to speak before going in for the kill, then he might as well show his overwhelmed feelings like this.

She shifted in her seat, bringing up a knee onto the cushiony bench so she could lean against Signless, cupping his face, and deepening the kiss. Unfortunately as much as it seemed like they were the only two in the world, Di knew that was only a temporary illusion and that the ride would only last so long. After a moment she finally pulled back, and pressed her forehead to his, eyes bright and wide and smile mischievous.

Thus the kiss would continue, arms slowly pulling her close, almost cradling. Sure, it was temporary. However this was also needed. Such a revelation deserved no less. Even as she pulled back, he chased after the olive blood with a kiss to the cheek. Oh that look... Di would be so smug, wouldn't she?
"Muelin... Have you been going to therapy behind my back?"
no subject
"Maybe, maybe not. What if I have been?"
no subject
"Then I would say it is a relief to know that what was once lost can be recovered. In your own time."
no subject
Di nodded. She was certain it would come in time as long as she kept up with her training and was careful not to strain herself. She had no plans to do that.
When that day comes I'll be talking your ears off.
