Location: Lake Tahoe, CA
Rating: Various.
Time: March 27th, late morning.
Description: The second of the three Madness emitters outside Death City is the target for this mission. Bundle up, everyone -- it's gonna be a cold one.
The mission begins late in the morning, to allow the mission-goers as much sunlight as possible in the warmest part of the day. Not that it'll help much… Temperatures are well below freezing already -- unnatural even for early Spring in the mountains -- and a howling snowstorm threatens to blot out the sun, beginning up the mountain where the slope just begins to rise sharply.
The slopes themselves are fairly barren: a windswept-looking tree here, a cabin that may have once belonged to the snow patrol there, maybe a Madness-crazed bear or mountain lion. Those braving the storm are lucky enough to see five feet in front of their face in these conditions!
Those brave few who manage to make it to the top (enduring falling temperatures and defeating the corrupted fauna and hulking kishin yeti along the way) may come across their goal at the very summit of the half-mile-high mountain: the Madness emitter itself, in the eye of the storm… And one last obstacle: the Witch guarding it.

"Nice one!" she complimented him. She kept a close eye on the egg to make sure he was going down, she wasn't the type to celebrate early.

When it came up for a surprise swipe, Auron hacked off an arm and backed off more. He waited for a few moments until all he could hear was the sound of his own breathing.
"I think we got it."
I wish I could use it more. XD Only Nanami can punch her brother's 'best friend' in the face.
"I don't want to sound vulgar or anything but maybe you should stab it in the head to be sure," seriously, she'd seen plenty of movies (she probably shouldn't have been watching) where that thing wasn't dead until the head was lopped off or something.

He was certain it was dead but he humored the Weapon by doing just as she suggested. Now he was really sure it was dead.
"You did real good."

If only he could see how Nanami beamed when he complemented her, "thank you." After brief pause, she spoke up again. "So.. are you planning on doing some more hunting?"

The blond stepped forward and nudged at the soul hovering in the air, it kind of reminded her of a water balloon. She slowly brought it closer to her face, squeezed her eyes shut, scrunched her nose and poked her tongue for a quick taste.
"..." She didn't know what she was expecting, blood and iron flavored? But it really wasn't bad... at all. Of course it didn't look like there was any graceful way to eat this thing so she turned away from Auron and downed it.
