[OPEN] Mission 155
Characters: Open to those who signed up here.
Location: An unmarked cavern system outside Death City.
Rating: Various.
Time: March 18th, sunrise.
Description: Shibusen agents brave underwater caverns to take out the first of three Madness emitters.
Missiongoers pile out of the mirrors early in the morning, just as the first hints of sun start to color the walls of the sandstone canyon red and purple; it'll be the last bits of real light they'll see for at least a few hours. The atmosphere is electric -- there're quite a few new (and old) arrivals who're eager to see some action, but just as many people who're feeling rather more apprehensive… And for good reason.
The only way to their destination is blocked by a few hundred yards of sunken tunnels. Luckily they've been provided with mouthpieces, breathing apparatuses with enough oxygen to last about ten minutes: more than enough time, provided that the guests don't lose their way in the dimly-lit, twisted caverns. It's as easy as following the person in front of them, right?
Upon emerging safely from the pool onto mostly-dry land, they'll find themselves in an immense cavern, illuminated by countless, blue fungi clinging to the walls and ceiling, looking like stars dotting a night sky. Already the first signs of the way Madness has been corrupting the wildlife are evident: the mushrooms exude strange spores that make some people's head pound the same way the increasingly noticeable Madness wavelength does.
As they travel further into the watery caves and explore its many branches, they'll begin to encounter creatures twisted by Madness: moles, snakes, beetles, centipedes, all grown to monstrous proportions, some with a venomous bite that quickly turns their victim feverish and delirious. The more daring fighters can easily dispatch those and delve even deeper, and it's near the source of the Madness, in the chamber housing the emitter itself, that they'll encounter the kishin eggs.
There're dozens of them-- eyeless, white, vaguely human-shaped things, but despite their blindness they have no problem finding their quarry, fighting with claws and exuding their own Madness wavelength. If the missiongoers can stand strong against the kishin eggs and the ever-present wavelength given off by the Madness emitter, Shibusen's specialists will have enough time to shut the machine down for good.
OOC NOTES.

So he slipped back towards the tent with the intention of finding something to at least help stop the bleeding.

The Uchiha's mind whirled in thoughts of possible strategies. Did he have the stamina to keep going until the cat managed to wear itself out? Probably not, even with the blood loss. He would have to take it down with a decisive move and hope to heaven it didn't manage to maul him.
He changed tactics, throwing strategy out the window in favor of spur of the moment inspiration. Obito rushed forward, and when then the cat tried throwing its paws out at him he leaped up, throwing his feet out to catch against the creature and knock it back with all his force. The both of them went down in a heap, but Obito didn't stop moving. He hardly noticed the claws digging into one of his legs as he jabbed the scalpel in his hands down with all his might, deep into the creature's neck.

Still, the Judge glanced back over his shoulder to regard the other male, watching as Obito seemed to knock the large feline down before plunging that blade into the cat's neck. He didn't miss the blossoming of blood along the fighter's leg either, and Yuri made a note that he'd need to get supplies in order to deal with Obito's wounds as well.
With that in mind, he steeled his mind to continue his task as he moved to head back off towards the tent again.

Gasping for breath, Obito took a moment to regain his full awareness of his surroundings. The mission, the medic tent, Yuri. Dammit. He had screwed up. Angrily, the young Uchiha ripped both scalpels free from the corpse then stood. He winced as slackened claws still clung to his leg. Only adrenaline was keeping him from bursting into tears like a baby.
Carefully extracting the claws from his leg, Obito straightened back up to full height and started making his way towards the tent. He needed to check on Yuri. "Petrov-san?"

His shirt was ruined even if he discounted all the blood, but he didn't take it off. Doing so would have showed the scar he now had across his shoulder - a blemish that he didn't want to explain since it had happened back in his world. So he instead forced his hand away from the wound to begin folding up his shirt along his body.
It was hard to properly bend or twist his torso as he moved, but he would simply have to ignore the pain as best as he could to clean himself up and bandage it. Yet as his bloodied hand reached for a cloth to hold against the wound, his searching froze as he heard his name being called out.
He was determined to take the cloth into hand, and did just that as he pulled it back in to press against his bleeding wound. Doing what he could to compose himself, the Judge peered over towards the tent's opening as he called out, "There is nothing to concern yourself about, Mr. Uchiha."

He reached the entrance to the tent and immediately his eyes landed on the bloody cloth. Without pausing a beat, the shinobi moved to the antiseptic to douse his hands, then wiped them clean with a new cloth. It wouldn't do to get infected blood mixed with Yuri's.
"You, lie down on a cot or something," Obito said, reaching for some extra gauze and a space blanket. "I know basic first aid, and we need to stop that bleeding quick." Rin had taught him a few things in case she was ever incapacitated during a mission. Keep the wound elevated, and keep the injured person warm. He could do at least that much.

Yet there was little he could do to prevent what he knew was coming, not if he wanted to keep his true self hidden away. While he wasn't instantly responding to the order, Yuri gritted his teeth and grunted before slowly shifting to do as Obito said as he moved to lay on the cot.
