you gotta roar like a dragon, baby
Characters: Date Masamune, Temeraire and Mushu
Location: Death City Heights, Temeraire and Mushu (and soon to be Date's) apartment
Rating: PG because it's Date
Time: March 14, afternoon
Description: Date moves in with his new partner.
He didn't have much stuff to begin with. Packing was a breeze since all he had to do was throw it into a trunk and it was ready to go. Most of Date's things managed to fit into one wooden trunk which he hauled over to Death City Heights with the help of some locals. It was just the basics and really, he didn't need much else.
When Temeraire invited Date to live with him, at first he was hesitant. Mainly because it took him a while to get used to his apartment in this strange place but he accepted after a while, that he probably needed to move out. He needed to get to know his weapon as well as he knew Kojuro.
Which is why he turns up at the appropriate door. He's not even going to knock, he's just going to enter.
... Except the door is locked.
"Hey Tem! Temeraire!" yelled Date as he pounded his fist on the wood. Let him, won't you?

Hence, he stood up, padded over toward the door, and opened it. It didn't surprise him that it was Date himself - what did surprise him was the fact that he had brought along a trunk with him. His clothing, perhaps? He knew not, but it was not polite to leave his new partner hanging.
"Mr. Date, pray do come inside," he said with a smile. "I hope you do forgive me for the mess," he said as he led the young man into a near-immaculate room, save for two or three books on the floor, one of which was wide open, "but I have only been doing some light reading."

"Man. This ain't a mess. You wanna mess ya should try slinkin' around a horse stable." He shuddered and continued towards his forever claimed spot on the couch. A small glance up at Date, "Hey."

He let out a whistle. "Nice place."
Then his attention focused on the other... dragon. And in a second his eyes lit up again.
"Dragon." he said, addressing Mushu.

"If it is not too forward of me to do so, then I shall call you Masamune from now on."
Without any suffix. He knew what sort of step this was for him, or at least what he thought it would be based on what the current, modern culture would dictate.
"Ah, you two should get acquainted," he said as he noticed that Date had simply called Mushu 'dragon.' He settled himself in the open area near the couch.
He motioned over toward the smaller, red dragon, "Masamune, this is Mushu, my roommate. Mushu, I have already told you about my new partner, Date Masamune, yes?"

New partner. Mushu just grinned, "So, y'all gonna be hangin' around here, man?"

"I'm the One Eyed Dragon of Oshuu. Nice to meet ya." Masamune bowed his head respectfully in the direction of the other dragon. "You live here too, Mushu?"

However, he now lay silent as he watched the interaction between his close friend, and his new Meister - soon to become a close friend himself. He hoped that they would get along well famously, only that he was unsure for a while as to how it would go.
Yet he sensed that Mushu had a somewhat more favourable view of Masamune now that he heard him. Now to see how it would follow on, and see how it would all unfold.
sorry guys! weekend exploded with socialness xD
"Yeah, someone has to make sure nothin' happens to Temmy-baby there." He jabbed his thumb towards the other dragon. Mushu was hesitant to mention that he'd also been watching Toph too, he still got pissed over so many people getting brought and sent to and from Death City.
"Think y'all can handle two all mighty, powerful, dragons under one room." Because really...soemtimes it was like the Odd couple with scales in here.
it's cool!
"If you've got room for a third, I'm in."
He totally was going to enjoy this I mean - dragons! Actual dragons! Not just him pretending to be a dragon but cool dragon bros who understood him. And he understood them back. Hopefully.
Date looked back to his partner.
"Do I get a room?"
Totally cool~
"I am very sure we do have room for a third dragon, Masamune."
After his inquiry, he stood up, "Yes, you do. Come..."
It was not as if it were an extravagantly large dwelling, but it did serve its purpose if it could fit him despite his size. Some ducking and tucking of wings at times through the doors, yes, but all in all it was still comfortable.
The only free bedroom was the one that was opposite the kitchen, while he had been using the room with the view ever since he moved into the apartment. It made sense due to his size, and the other one had more storage space fit for a human.
"This shall be your room, Masamune. I know that this might not be much, but we call it home, as I hope that you too shall call it as such some time soon."

And at least from where he was crawling around he had a good view of Tem an Masamune.
"Hey, man...you ain't gotta worry. This is your pad now."
