[OPEN] Avengers Assemble
Characters: Members of SEES, new and old, as well as anyone who wants to stop by.
Location: SEES HQ, sort of under minor renovations.
Rating: I want a clean fight, guys.
Time: Dinner-time/Evening
Description: SEES has been without leadership for a while, so it's time to talk about that and other things. Over dinner.
Further Reading: OOC Post 1, OOC Post 2, Network Post 1
The SEES HQ is a humble, unadorned office in the process of renovation. There is scaffolding on the outside (really a continuation of the arcade expansion happening next door) and buckets of paint on the floor inside, stored until needed.
The arrangement of desks in the middle and chairs along the outside give it an almost conference room feeling, except that each seat has a dinner setting of plate and utensils (and chopsticks), and the middle of the table is covered in Kanji's generous dinner spread.
((Action or Log, your choice. Just have fun and let's talk about some baskets.))

The Meeting
Minato's going to keep this meeting simple because it doesn't have to be complicated.
"This meeting is about how to keep SEES going. As Seta-san and the other Arisato-san have gone home, SEEs is now my responsibility again. It is a responsibility I want to share with all of you because it is your efforts and ideas which really define SEES and make it special."
He smiles at everyone at the table. Really, thank you for being here.
"Allow me to share with you my vision for the future so that I may entrust all of you with it."
((The essense of what Minato is going to say can be found here. Please feel free to discuss it with one another or with Minato. For the open forum, look one thread down.))
[OPEN] Q&A!
Any questions?
Re: [OPEN] Q&A!
*Chika's smiling, grinning quite a bit as she's looking over at Minato. But then something comes to her.*
Oh, actually, I think I might have a question after all. The whole Team Building thing... should we also try resonating with each other to see who we can work together with and go with that person on missions, or what?
no subject
We can try. If we gather together during training like the Watch does, it'll be easy. However, I'm more interested in building an overall team... one comprised of different partnerships and unpartnered members that is capable of working together effectively during an emergency. Support, assault, healing... anti-Madness...
no subject
I guess that makes sense, but well... are people who aren't partnered going to really be much help in that situation. Most Meister abilities need to be used during a resonance, right?

The point is, Chika-chan, that individuals without partners can still contribute a lot. We just have to change our focus from partnerships to teams.

ALL THE ASSUMPTIONS. ;; Hope this is okay.
He'd filled his plate before Minato had started, grabbing bits and pieces throughout the talking... and the questions that followed.
What it does, more than anything else is make it incredibly easy to focus on what Minato is saying. With his primary thoughts pre-occupied by food, he can actually take on board the things that are being explained to him, and although he understands, agrees and accepts everything he really has nothing to ask-- Well.
"So, when d'we get one of them band thingies?"
this is okay, although you might have to get answers from Kanji and I for it haha
As for the bands. "When Kanji-kun makes them. You can look at mine first, if you want."
He removes the band from his arm and holds it out. "But be careful... it's what we'll use to make the rest..."
=D
"Ah-- Right. Where'd you get yours then?"
A quick wipe of his hands down his pant legs 'cleans' his hands before he reaches out to take the band, putting it up against his arm.
"You reckon... they might have 'em in orange?"
no subject
no subject
"Guess it kinda would be hard t'see." It would match the symbol on his back though-- at least there was that.
"I don't mind red."
no subject
no subject
"A hat? Er, I dunno one of them red bands'll be alright."
no subject
"It'll help us identify one another in an attack as well. Red stands out."

"Are all aspects of this group's purpose expected of its members, or is it possible to focus on more than others?" She wasn't exactly a friendly face with the sharpness of her eyes and the way she tended to look at people like she was judging them.
Because she was.
no subject
"The group as a whole focuses on all aspects. However, it is up to individual members to decide where their talents best lie and to contribute according to their skills and interests. Additionally, any member can suggest further areas of focus so long as they promote SEES' mission."
A long-winded explanation, but since he was already talking so much, there was no point in being terse or vague about it.
Turning it around. "What specifically were you thinking of focusing on?"
no subject
"I have little patience for idiots or the ignorant. I'm a very direct woman that prefers to act than sit around waiting for something to be handed to me." Which may seem to contradict her mannerisms as her rich upbringing was quite evident. "I have more of an interest in the investigation and protection aspects."
no subject
In contrast to her hard expression, he smiles warmly at her. "Since we're all volunteers, you can choose not to involve yourself with the other aspects. It's better if we specialize, after all."
no subject
Akiha wasn't sure what to make of Minato just yet, and she didn't respond to the smile, but she wasn't using her colder glares. "I see no reason to object to your leadership, Arisato-san." There was an unspoken 'yet' there, but that's just how she was.
"My name is Tohno Akiha. And even volunteers need structure or nothing gets done."
no subject
Then he lifts a shoulder in a carefree manner. "I hope that SEES proves sufficient to your needs and helps to bring out your best, Tohno-san."
no subject
"I will have to talk this over with my partner, but I believe it will be suitable."
