[OPEN] * Field trip aftermath.
Characters: OPEN
Location: The Clinic
Rating: Not exactly sure...PG minimum?
Time: February 28; Anytime during the day.
Description: Sheena's recovering from her Madness-induced nightmare--both physically and emotionally. Anyone care to visit?
She was supposed to be recovering, but the nightmares and dreams brought on by the Madness wouldn't let her. She had been initially helped at the field trip site, but that hadn't lasted long--thanks to her own deep-seated fears over her memories. Not even the sedatives given her had been able to keep everything at bay. She had woken up several times during the night, frantically searching the room for any trace of those eyes that seemed to be wherever she looked. Eventually, the drugs and exhaustion had taken their toll, and she had fallen into a somewhat restless sleep.
This time, when she awoke, sunlight was streaming into the room, keeping the images away. Now, in the clear light of day, she was able to deal with what happened, and wondered if she was going to be able to handle things here.

Oh. I see. [Not really, but he would know better than her what he's talking about, right?] Well, if you think that's best...
[There are droolers in her world, too. Whether she's one or not, she isn't saying.]
no subject
Yes, I think...and what would the nurses say if they'd find me here? They'd call the police thinking that i'm a pervert who tries to abuse their patient, I didn't even touched you, though.
[But he'd like to do it! Taking her hand or caressing her face...It would be nice.]
no subject
I doubt they'd think that, Yamazaki. I really do. Besides, if they did, I wouldn't let them.
[She's not trying to convince him to stay. She really isn't.]
Have you seen Scrubs? :)
You...You'd like me to stay here...Sheena?
[It's just ridiculous, why would a girl like Sheena want him to stay by her side? Is she afraid of darkness? Is she bored? Why???]
Because if you want to...
[Wait a minute!]
Wait a minute! What do you want to do against the nurses and security guards and doctors and the creepy cleaner?
Once in a while. "Creepy cleaner?" LOL
I..wouldn't object to you staying...
[Why? Because waking up from nightmares alone sucks...]
I wouldn't do anything, except tell them that you're here with my permission. What would they do then? Upset their patient and take you out?
The Janitor! I just googled him :P But he's creepy. And he cleans stuff.
If you wouldn't object, I'd gladly stay by your side.
[So it's only because of the nightmares. Why would be anyone surprised, this guy is Yamazaki.]
Would you be upset if they took me away?
[Finally, a little smile appears on Yamazaki's plain face.]
Funny, though!
I won't object at all.
[There's nothing "only" about her dreams... They're twisted memories...much more frightening.]
Yes. I would be upset.
[Only a slight, shy hesitation there...]
no subject
[And he doesn't want to be far from Sheena.]
Uhm...you mentioned earlier that something bad thing happened to you while you were in the desert...If you'd like to talk about it, I am here for you.
[No, the nightmares are not underrated, they must be terrifying!]
no subject
Yeah. [She looks down at her hands, which are picking at her blanket.]
I stumbled into a high Madness zone.
[More than he knows.]
no subject
[Hearing the girl's words he looks at her face, worried and careful...and curious, yes...and he reaches his hand but he doesn't touch the girl's hand, not yet.]
And...what happened there?
no subject
Like not even noticing the hand being held out to her.]
Ummm... A couple of my memories--which weren't good to begin with--mixed together and got worse...
no subject
[Yamazaki's hand landed on Sheena's hand. It was unintentional and unnoticed. He just wanted to comfort the girl.]
no subject
Okay. I'll tell you. [He probably wasn't going to like it.] First, though: Do you know what a Summoner is?
This is my only smiling icon :P
No, I don't know. What is it?
:D It was hard finding smiling Sheena ones.
We have what are called Elemental Spirits on my world. As the name implies, they can control the different elements like Fire, Wind, and Water. If someone has the ability, a pact can be made with them and they can be called on to help in keeping with that vow.
The person with that ability is called a Summoner.
no subject
So, are you a Summoner? And which element can you control? Wait, let me guess.
[Sheena seems too gentle to control fire and Yamazaki feels like water doesn't fit her either.]
Wind...do you control wind?
no subject
Actually, I can only call them. They control the elements and can use magic. [A beat.]
The Wind Spirit--Sylph--is one of my summons.
[Yeah....she's got ten.]
no subject
[This thing still no crystal clear for him, but it's obvious that Sheena has amazing powers.]
But...bad things happened to you.
Nice keywords there... :P
[She shakes her head.] No, BREW didn't let me keep that ability...
[She paused a moment after nodding.] When I was seven, I attempted to make a pact with the Spirit of Lightning. It...didn't work, and he attacked, killing just about everyone who had gone to his Temple with me. If I had been able to understand him, things might have gone differently...
I stole them with permission :P I'm not so funny XD
[If Sheena just confessed she killed all of her family and the neighbors with an axe and laughed while doing it, Yamazaki would say the same thing. But he was glad Sheena did not kill anyone.]
There are spirits you just can't understand, no matter what. It's possible that that spirit was actually the soul of Oda Nobunaga or another crazy warlord of the feudal era! Don't be angry at me but I'm glad you're not dealing with spirits. They are very untrustworthy.
Neither am I. :(
Not those kind of spirits. Not ghosts. Volt is the Summon Spirit of Lightning. Although they're called Spirits, they're not dead.
But, you're right. Volt was vengeful, but I didn't find that out until years later when I tried again. My friend was able to translate the language he was speaking. He didn't trust people any more since the last person to make a pact broke their promise. [So who was truly unworthy?] That's why he attacked before, and why he attacked again...
no subject
[Hopefully Sheena would forgive Yamazaki if she finds out how superstitious and kind of religious this guy is.]
no subject
No one from before was there...
[She looked away.]
But, my friends were okay after he attacked. Except one. He...saved me so I could do what I needed to.
[Good thing she didn't have her Summons, then. Shadow would probably scare him...]
no subject
[Yamazaki held Sheena's hand strongly and waited for the girl to look at him.]
no subject
I had to make a pact with Volt. [A sad smile.] Don't ask me why, but it was very necessary. [He was having enough trouble understanding Summon Spirits without her telling him about Rheairds and needing Volt's power to make them work.]
Corrine's last words to me were to try again, because Volt just lost his faith in people. [Her eyes narrowed.] That changed in my hallucination.
