Mission log! [Closed]
Characters: Auron and Katakura Koujurou
Location: Russia
Rating: PGish
Time: Feb. 16 most of the day
Description: The Zone Leaders take time off to go to Russia and take on a kishin egg. Will they be successful?
After warming up with a morning workout, Auron and Koujurou left for their mission, this time in a colder country called Russia. His red coat helped keep him warm in the chilled air.
"What's a Faberge egg?" Auron asked as he looked over the mission notes.

The chill reminded Kojuro vaguely of the northern lands of the Uesugi, back in Hi-no-Moto. The Weapon glanced at his Meister, trying to see if the other man was all right.
"I suppose we shall discover what they are shortly."

Unlike their previous mission, the kishin egg seemed to be operating inside the city. Having a lot of buildings in the way would make things more difficult. They'd almost need to get on top of a building to get a good lay of the land.
"We can't have just one of us lure it out this time. Sounds like it might be too big for that."

Some kishin were cowardly. For one to operate so brazenly in a city, however, told Kojuro that their particular mark was not. The samurai looked about, and eventually pointed to a nearby building.
"Let us position ourselves there. It is one of the highest points in this area."

Fortunately they didn't have to bother speaking the language. One look at the two of them and people got out of their way so they could travel up to the top, by elevator and by stair.
The view from the roof did give them a good lay of the land. It also offered enough room to fight if it came to it.

Words, once again, were not necessary. One heartbeat, and Kojuro was locking gazes with Auron, then proceeding to shift into his Weapon form, at the perfect angle to land right within the man's hand.
The Meister was going to need it. The kishin was coming right at them, diving down high up in the air.

He clenched his Weapon tightly and got to his feet, just at the kishin egg regained its balance. This would be a hazardous fight, depending on how fast this kishin egg moved. Auron was not the most agile of swordsmen.

Kojuro's blade flared up with electricity at that moment. He also concentrated, attempting to pour more power into the link he and Auron shared. They needed more speed. They needed to be able to even the odds.
Attempt to strike at it again, Auron!

Cursing, he rolled away from a wicked snap of its jaws. It was hard to try to get a grasp of this altered resonance with this THING that kept trying to strike him.
no subject
Good thing too, as the kishin was charging at them again.
no subject
How...How did I do that?</>
no subject
It always had, really, but now that they had gone on more missions, the results were much more visible. It would only get better from there, to Kojuro's understanding.
The kishin egg, clearly caught by surprise by Auron's attack, faltered. It only managed to dodge just enough to keep itself from dying - as such, the Weapon sliced right through one of is wings. The creature immediately zoomed off, attempting to flee.
We must pursue it!

Kojuro paused there. He took a moment out to gauge the distance between the building they were on and the next one. The ones further out seemed to be close enough as well.
When he spoke again, his voice was full of quiet resolve.
We must jump.
no subject
Are you insane? I can't jump that far! I'm a swordsman, not a blitzplayer! I don't have that kind of agility!
no subject
Kojuro was certain of it. Neither of them would have been able to accomplish such a feat on their own, but they were partners now, and their resonance was strong.
no subject
He took a few strides back to get running room. If I kill myself, I'll try to throw you somewhere safe.
no subject
There will be no need for that.
In the next moment, he was sending a boost of power through their resonance. He did not plan on overwhelming the other man; he simply knew that his Meister could handle it, and needed the strength.

The landing on the next roof didn't break his legs but was rather rough. He knew he'd have to treat some kind of knee burn after this was over.

Kojuro's tone was jovial; he was very, very pleased, and also a bit relieved that everything had gone smoothly.
The kishin egg, however, was not. After a moment of shock, it attempted to rush at them again.
Sorry about the delay!
He had to block one flailing limb with the sword. The Soul Armor protected them from injury but it they'd definitely feel bruised later on.
It's totally all right. /hugs tight ♥
I might need a new car. D:
oh no. ;;
Moments later, it was shifting and melting away, leaving nothing behind save its soul.
Kojuro returned to his human form then, and glanced towards Auron.
"You are not injured, I hope?"
He had not picked up on any, at any rate. His healing ability had probably already swept away the ache that would have resulted from their landing.
Sucks but on the other hand, I would have to get one eventually
He pointed at his partner. "We're taking the stairs this time."
that is true. /squishes anyway! oh, let's wrap this up here!
"Very well. Let us go."
