Characters: [livejournal.com profile] karmafree, [livejournal.com profile] suchselfishness, & OPEN
Location: The New MukuRhode apartment in Murder Manor
Rating: G-PG
Time: December 31; 8 PM - 1 AM, or whenever people decide to go home...
Description: It's a housewarming party and a New Year party wrapped into one big celebration!

They hadn't bothered with much decoration, though Rhode had insisted on a bit of shiny garland around the doorframe so people would know exactly where they were supposed to come. Mukuro had bought champagne (and stronger things, for the guests who preferred them) and Rhode had made sure they had a nice little setup of sweets and fruit, including some cake and tarts she'd baked herself. After some struggle, she'd even asked Mukuro to help her figure out how to turn on the stereo for the sake of having atmosphere music.

The leftmost bedroom door is shut, but the rest of the apartment has been left open to nosy guests!

[OPEN AND A MILLION YEARS LATE, AFTER MIDNIGHT]

[Hm...as far as liquor goes, Bansai usually goes for stronger sake, but he's finding that the glass of champagne he has instead is interesting enough to hold his favor. Perhaps, something stronger in a bit.

His eyes are wandering across the party, doing more people watching than any actual talking. The fact that he's still wearing sunglasses and headphones at this time of night may be a little odd to most. Not to mention the fact that even with all the background noise, coming close enough to the musician indicates that he's listening to his own tracks at quite a loud volume, loud enough to bleed out.

Feel free to bother him, though. He seems in good enough spirits.]

[Well, he certainly couldn't be rude and refuse when she's looking at him like that, now can he.]

Why thank you, young miss. I appreciate it.

[He selected one that didn't look like it would be too sweet, placing on a napkin in his free hand.]

I do hope we are not keep you up too late.

[identity profile] frissonic.livejournal.com 2011-11-30 06:02 am (UTC)(link)
I am sure that was quite the task.

[Having done his fair share of cooking and baking, he would know.]

That is understandable, especially in your own home. I do hope you are having a good time.

[identity profile] frissonic.livejournal.com 2011-12-04 06:26 am (UTC)(link)
Then I will be sure to enjoy every bite, I daresay.

[Details, details~ He's going to make a display of showing how much he likes that first bite, too.]

It is an honor to be counted among them. I did not think I would get invited to any parties.

[identity profile] frissonic.livejournal.com 2011-12-20 05:08 am (UTC)(link)
[He does so like to see that smile there.]

Ah, well hopefully with time, we can change that small fact, I daresay. I will be certain that it does not become a regretful decision.

[Allies were good, after all.]

[identity profile] frissonic.livejournal.com 2012-01-22 04:29 am (UTC)(link)
Perhaps, though I imagine if you were against it, you would have walked away already.

[He's not that kind of creeper...really.]

[identity profile] frissonic.livejournal.com 2012-01-22 05:05 am (UTC)(link)
It sounds like you have the potential to be quite the little troublemaker.

[It also sounds like that doesn't bother him in the slightest.]

Well, I am a guest in your home. It would be incredibly inconsiderate of me to go and do such a thing.

[identity profile] frissonic.livejournal.com 2012-01-22 05:09 am (UTC)(link)
[He just makes an amused sound, but doesn't correct her.]

Well, if anyone gives you any trouble, I would be happy to teach them a lesson in decency.

[Sidling up to, with a drink ready.]

I'm so glad you could make it.

[identity profile] frissonic.livejournal.com 2011-11-26 04:43 pm (UTC)(link)
[His eyes turn sideways as the man slides up beside him, and he nods once.]

I appreciate the invitation. I daresay I am not entirely used to parties, though.

[What is mingling~?]

[identity profile] karmafree.livejournal.com 2011-11-26 05:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Oya? But we're dealing with them all the time at the Danse, are we not?

[identity profile] frissonic.livejournal.com 2011-11-30 06:04 am (UTC)(link)
[Heh.]

My job does not require me to do much interaction with the patrons of the club.

[He taps his headphones; he tends to hide in them, in such a crowded place.]

But yes, I see your point.

[identity profile] karmafree.livejournal.com 2011-12-01 03:08 am (UTC)(link)
This crowd is rather mild, in fact. [Leaning back.] So. Excited for the new year?

[identity profile] frissonic.livejournal.com 2011-12-04 06:28 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, compared to the club, this is rather tame.

[He says it in a way that makes it clear he much prefers it that way.]

It is bound to be an interesting one, I daresay. Things never seem to stay too dull in this place. And yourself?

[identity profile] karmafree.livejournal.com 2011-12-05 09:30 am (UTC)(link)
I suppose I am as excited as one such as myself could be.

[identity profile] frissonic.livejournal.com 2011-12-20 05:09 am (UTC)(link)
[He nods in understanding.]

As far as the actual event of New Years Day itself, I never found it something that particularly needed celebrating. You could call any day the start of a new year if it pleased you, after all.

[The idea of starting fresh or anew was all in the mind, in the end.]

[identity profile] karmafree.livejournal.com 2011-12-20 11:10 am (UTC)(link)
Still, people need an excuse to let loose, don't they? Silly things.
