The scouts had done their jobs well and the mirror deposits its travelers just at the end of the area Shibusen has closed off as their mission target. It's still dawn, the sun barely visible over the horizon. The witches hasn't noticed them there yet, the scouts say, so it's still possible to take them by surprise.

This is what the agents are told: In the rock face of the Grand Canyon is a cavern system made up of many small caves and three large ones. The large caves contain a kishin egg pit, the kidnapped agents and civilians, and what appears to be a machine at one end. There are about five dozen zombies crawling the area, and an equal number of ants, spiders, and ravens on top of it.

Worst of all, the scouts report that they had sighted a few of the agents patrolling for the Witches. The scouts hadn't been certain if these ones had soul perception or other abilities, and had given the area as much space as they could in order to avoid an early confrontation. Still, it's bad news and it looks like a fight with some of the kidnappees themselves is inevitable.

Not much time is given to the agents after the briefing before they're being ushered into place. A few scouts are going to be causing a commotion some distance away to distract the familiars and zombies, clearing a path for the agents. After that, it's all up to them.

So, you've got your own mind back.

[He was still cautious, though, he could be pulling wool over their eyes.] We'll bring you back, you'll only get in the way.

[Amaterasu approached Kilik and paused. She could carry him on her back to the mirror, but Fire would have to change back. As for the soul... that needed a jar or something.]

[potmeister]

No. I need to help out.

[ From off in the distance, the low roar of approaching kishin eggs sounded. Kilik snapped his attention to it. Fire and Thunder both transformed back, practically tackle-hugging him and he smiled at them briefly in reassurance before craning his head in the distance. ]

I'm good. I can hold things here. You guys gotta get the other guests. Some of them... [ He trailed off, shaking his head gravely. He didn't have time to put into words the horrible things the witches made them do and how some might not be taking it very well if they regained their senses at all. ]

They need to get outta here and back to Death City.

[thrusts]

[Not the sort of guy that backed down, but he understood the gravity of the mission. Without a weapon, he was practically useless, but he wasn't leaving Kilik here to die.]

There are more teams. Right now, in your weakened state, you'd only be a handicap to the other meisters and weapons.

[motherofthesun]

[Amaterasu woofs. She doesn't have a Weapon either if the still hovering soul where the Kishin egg had been. She nudges Kilik a bit; they'll take him back to recover.]

[potmeister]

[ He's supposed to be the senpai here! What kind of example is it if he just leaves them behind? Kilik looked at the both of them with a disapproving frown, only to have his attention pulled to the twins. They both seemed to be in agreement with Saitou and Amaterasu, going to stand next to them with arms folded. ]

....looks like I'm not winning this battle, huh? Alright, alright. You win. Fire and Thunder are gonna be your weapons, though.

ARGHH FEEL FREE TO SKIP ME. i have a huge paper due thursday night and iwon't be around till friday

[thrusts]

That's fine, but we're taking you back.

[Amaterasu nodded and, stepping closer, she got Kilik onto her back with the help of Fire and Thunder. Once that was done, she looked up at Saitou. Whenever he was ready then.]

.....it's okay! Work pretty much eliminated my RP drive this week. <3

[potmeister]

[ He half worried he was going to hurt the wolf by climbing on her. (Were wolves really made to handle full grown guys like that?) But Amaterasu seemed fine, and he held on weakly -- half plotting how he could get away and continue fighting. ]

You really gonna be okay carrying me like this? I can walk, ya know. It's fine.

[motherofthesun]

[She scoffs and already gets to walking when Kilik grabs on]

[potmeister]

.....okay. If you're sure.

[ Because....that was probably wolf for 'shut up, kid, I got this' or something. ]

[motherofthesun]

[That's... pretty much correct. She looks at Fire and Thunder and woofs. Stick close now.]

[potmeister]

[ The twins do -- each walking at opposite sides and planting their fists in the nice, soft fur as she guides them. Kilik keeps a look out for anything that might come their way, spotting the mirror as they get closer. ]

You're staying behind, right? [ He glances down at Amaterasu. ]

[motherofthesun]

[She glances back at him, but then looks at the mirror. She doesn't know how to answer that without being unable to say yes or no. Maybe she'll come back; it depends on the number of patients in the clinic.]

[potmeister]

[ Kilik's pretty good at understanding nonverbal communication. Years of living with Thunder and Fire, of course. He can at least pick up her reluctance and hesitation. ]

Go where you're needed.

[ He finally says, bringing his hand down atop her head to scratch behind her ears before climbing off. ]

See ya on the other side sooner or later.

[ He offered a wave, sliding his finger over the glass to write in the number code before stepping through. ]

[Amaterasu sits when Kilik gets off and watches him disappear. She glances back at Saitou, Fire, and Thunder when he's gone. Well, they should help wrap this up quickly.]
