Description: Witches have invaded and are attacking the city!

The attack, when it comes, happens quickly enough that Death City would have been caught flat-footed had there been no prior warning, but it's not completely unexpected because of the city's heightened state of alarm the past day. Warning sirens start sounding to alert the citizens and guests the moment a dark, slow-moving mass out in the desert to the south-east of Death City is spotted by Shibusen sentries. There's even time for civilians to run and hide before the mass is identified as an army of what looks like decaying, shambling corpses. The city's defenders are slow to move, however; most of them are distracted and are having trouble dealing with the black blood in their bodies. While agents are gathering to head out to deal with the zombie threat, that's when the witches make their move.

Portals begin opening in the skies above the city, disgorging hideous familiars: bulbous spiders and leggy ants the size of dogs. They drop hundreds of feet down into the streets and alleyways of Death City, and scuttle off in search of victims. The spiders are poisonous and can spin copious amounts of web to capture their targets, the ants spit acid that cause agonizing, paralyzing pain. Their masters bear down on the city in a cloud of black shadows--massive ravens strong enough to carry off adult men. There are five witches, women on broomsticks, beautiful if not for their crazed grins and obvious glee at the chaos descending upon the city. At some unknown signal--maybe the cackling from a couple of them--they dive in concert and disappear into different areas of the city.

Their masterful plan has begun!

Lily took a few more steps back as the flames spread up the zombie's pants.

“A Meister? I don’t know.” Actually, she had slipped away during the soul perception part of the tour, worried they would realize she’s a witch.

"Eh? You don't?" Bakura stared at her, eyes a bit wide. How could she have been here and not found out...?

Lily had to wonder a bit about the kid’s sense of self-preservation and tugged at this hand. “It would be better to discuss this elsewhere!” Somewhere where there wasn’t a zombie fireball creeping towards them.

She grabbed her now empty salt canister and chucked it at the zombie’s head, hoping it would slow the monster down but it just bounced off.

Right. Running. Running would be good. "That's the only thing I know how to fight as!" he explained as he followed her tug.

Fighting magic had never been one of Lily's strengths but she didn't quite follow what Bakura was saying, especially since she had avoided the morning training sessions after stumbling on them the first time and hadn't seen a Weapon transformation before. She blinked and sounded a bit confused. "The only thing?" Wouldn't most people say 'the only way?'

"Because I'm a Weapon..." Not knowing which she was, not knowing how anything worked, not having working magic...

They were so screwed...

At least, the zombie was slow-moving and they had managed to put a couple of blocks between themselves and the walking corpse.

“A weapon? You don’t exactly look like something I can pick up and swing at that zombie.” Even if she could pick him up, Lily thought she would probably end up doing more damage to the kid than the monster.

How did she not even...?!

"The transforming kind...."

"You're telling me you're a shapeshifter?" That kind of thing wasn't exactly considered normal in Lily's world although she knew that it existed. And in her experience, shapeshifters generally turned to other living creatures rather than inanimate objects.

"You really didn't get a chance to learn much about this place, did you...?"

"I've... had other things on my mind." Like hiding the fact that she was a witch and keeping a low profile. Getting out of this city and finding a way back to San Francisco so she could exorcise that demon before it possessed someone.

He did his best not to sigh. "People here who are Weapons can transform into that form so the Meister can wield them so they can fight together..."

Lily wondered a bit if she was crazy for asking but... "What do you turn into anyway? I'm not exactly a fighter." Her words were a bit breathless from the running.

"A ten sided die. I'm not really a fighter either," Bakura admitted. "It has an energy blast, though, which is pretty helpful, at least! Especially if you're not used to fighting, I'd think."

Lily blinked. When he said a weapon, she’d figured something along the lines of a knife or gun. “A die? As in the type of thing you play board games with?”

An energy blast could be helpful if it worked though. Normally, she could send out energy blasts from her hand strong enough to knock a person off their feet but she hadn’t tried it here. She wondered if her own still worked since her powers seemed off in this city.

Bakura nodded. "One of the types you use for RPGs."

“RPGs?” Lily didn’t have a clue what that meant. Having been shunned as a child, she hadn’t had any friends to play games with.

Glancing back over her shoulder, she saw that the zombie was now covered in flames and gaining a bit on them. Not good at all.

[Event] Invasion!

She is although I imagine any resonance would be weak with all the things she's hiding!

Long as she doesn't block him out entirely, they can at least damage it, prob.
