Description: Witches have invaded and are attacking the city!
The attack, when it comes, happens quickly enough that Death City would have been caught flat-footed had there been no prior warning, but it's not completely unexpected because of the city's heightened state of alarm the past day. Warning sirens start sounding to alert the citizens and guests the moment a dark, slow-moving mass out in the desert to the south-east of Death City is spotted by Shibusen sentries. There's even time for civilians to run and hide before the mass is identified as an army of what looks like decaying, shambling corpses. The city's defenders are slow to move, however; most of them are distracted and are having trouble dealing with the black blood in their bodies. While agents are gathering to head out to deal with the zombie threat, that's when the witches make their move.
Portals begin opening in the skies above the city, disgorging hideous familiars: bulbous spiders and leggy ants the size of dogs. They drop hundreds of feet down into the streets and alleyways of Death City, and scuttle off in search of victims. The spiders are poisonous and can spin copious amounts of web to capture their targets, the ants spit acid that cause agonizing, paralyzing pain. Their masters bear down on the city in a cloud of black shadows--massive ravens strong enough to carry off adult men. There are five witches, women on broomsticks, beautiful if not for their crazed grins and obvious glee at the chaos descending upon the city. At some unknown signal--maybe the cackling from a couple of them--they dive in concert and disappear into different areas of the city.
Their masterful plan has begun!

Digging the bladed arm in deeper, his attempt to not be pulled and eaten by the spider, he clenched his eyes shut both to stop the gore from pouring into them, but also to try and hope not to see the spider's fangs on the other end. It was only when he didn't feel any pain that he finally glanced up and saw Leo's face instead. His expression instantly showed his relief as he sighed loudly. "Thank goodness!"
Pushing himself up to sit, Yuuri didn't care that there was a spider flailing behind them, and he threw his arms around Leo's neck to hug the Meister in close. "You're safe!"

The words were coming out without passing his brain as he performed a complicated little dance that included giving Yuuri a one-handed hug, a pat on the shoulder and trying to shove him away while he grimaced at he gore that was getting all over both of them all at the same time.
Have I ever told you how much I love their interactions? o3o
"Aaaa sorry!" He called out sheepishly before pulling away. The spider was still flailing around, and Yuuri turned around to face the severely injured arachnid as he said, "We can fight this together." There was nothing more that he wanted than to protect his friends and everyone else in the city, and he would do whatever he could in order to protect Leo.

"I have a better idea: Why don't you turn half-poke-y again and I give you a hustle so that you'll fall and fillet it from above as well?"

"Hustle?" Yuuri asked. He'd never heard of that term before, and he wondered just what Leo had to do in order to hustle him... was that something he even wanted to know? He trusted his friend though, and whatever it was he would do it because he was sure that it would make logical sense later! That was why he partially transformed his arm as he glanced back to the spider and said, "Alright! What do I need to do?"

Taking a few steps back, he suddenly jumped forward and gave Yuuri a good shove - right towards the spider!

He was waiting to see just what the hustle was, and he found himself on the receiving end of it as Leo suddenly sprang forward to he found himself shoved directly towards the spider. Arms flailing out to right his balance, the young Maou cried out in surprise before he sighted the spider turning its attention onto him.
Waving his arms in front of him, whether the gesture was to protect himself or get him to stop no one knew, Yuuri unknowingly knocked aside the legs that came out towards him. His foot then caught a crack in the ground, and the next think he knew, the young king fell right into the spider - his bladed form sinking into the arachnid's head as he fell against it with a yelp.

Whistling loudly to hide his scare, the Half sauntered over (he wasn't preparing to jump ahead and drag the human out of its reach if it still kept moving, really).
"Wow. Was that skill or just dumb luck~?"

"Huh? What?" Yuuri asked as he pulled his gore-soaked blade from the spider's skull. Glancing back over towards Leo, the young Maou's surprised look was quickly overshadowed by a sheepish one as he muttered, "Aa I'd say more dumb luck." He wasn't about to lie about that.

"Mmmhm you're right! Besides there are a lot more of these guys out there that could hurt others," he said with a nod despite the loss of some cheer from his friend's expression. While Leo might not have had such thoughts in mind, Yuuri definitely did!

Most of the monsters had come from that side, meaning that they would first have to head in the direction of the center no matter what. Leo had a bad feeling about it, but he didn't say anything about it. It'd be best if he could drop Yuuri off with a group of friends or his Meister or something. He still needed to look for some people and it wouldn't be good the drag the other into this.
