[ Closed | Mission | Andorra, Europe ]
Characters: Rhode Kamelot & Rokudo Mukuro
Location: Andorra, Europe
Rating: PG
Time: January 24, all day
Description: Sick days are all well and good when they're needed, but after a string of bad luck and injuries, Mukuro & Rhode are back on the mission roster to get #29.
It was a bit chilly in Andorra, even for January. Mukuro had likely managed to warm up with all the fighting and moving about, but sitting in Weapon form and focusing on her ability didn't provide Rhode with much opportunity for aerobics.
Rhode was thankful that she'd bundled up in her goosedown coat as she slipped out of her Weapon form, taking a moment to lick the kishin egg's blood from her hand before pulling her mittens out of her pocket and slipping them onto her chilly fingers. It was easy enough to snag the soul from where it was floating above the eviscerated mess that had once been the monster, once she picked her way through the bloody mess without getting her boots bloody. One big swallow, and that was that- She turned around to face her Meister with a smile, hopping over the gore to return to his side.
"One more!" She chirped, holding up a finger (though it wasn't very useful, since her fingers were covered by one solid mitten anyways) to show him. "One more, and then we have thirty. I think thirty deserves something special, don't you? Treats, or a party, perhaps."

"And you, my dear, are my cute little rabbit."
no subject
"How am I anything like a rabbit?" Rhode asked, trying to sound mildly offended and failing. "Rabbits don't do much of anything."
no subject
"Well, let's see..." he then enumerated his points on his fingers, while somehow managing to hold on to Rhode with his free arm. "You're small, cute, sensitive to your surroundings, indulgent on your whims, fragile where it counts, tough where it counts."
That likely made no sense whatsoever, but remember: Mukuro. In a good mood.

At that point, he bent down to plant a brief kiss on her forehead.
"With others... well."
no subject
"You can't give a half-answer like that, you know. Where does it count that I'm supposedly fragile, Mr. Cat?"
no subject
Mukuro naturally counted himself in that number now. It was something that had surprised him initially, but he was never one to dwell on how feelings, including his own, change.
no subject
"I don't know if it's fragile. I would do some terrible things if anyone tried to hurt what's mine."
no subject
A man with precious things was a man with weaknesses, after all.

She let go of him, then, moving along his side as she reached for one of his hands.
"When I want to kill an enemy, or play a bit, I'll just kill them. But if they hurt someone close to me, it's their friends I go after. The people they care about. It's much more effective that way. It hurts them more than it would if they had died themselves."
no subject
Mukuro reached out, ruffling Rhode's hair.
"I don't mind it at all. It is part of what makes you, you."
no subject
She hummed softly, closing her eyes as she enjoyed the attention.
"What else do you think makes me myself?"
no subject
A beat.
"Oh, and white-haired boys."
no subject
Rhode looked up at him curiously, head tilting ever so slightly to the right.
"Even if Allen's been here a few times, he still only counts as one boy."
no subject
Have lightly lifted eyebrows, Rhode Kamelot. Come now, you can't seriously not know what he's referring to, can you?
no subject
She frowned, trying to puzzle out what he was talking about.
"Are you talking about Joshua?"
no subject
"Among others."
no subject
"I don't think it counts if we only just met," she finally mumbled, edging one hand into his pocket. "And neither of them have any idea what I'm really like."
no subject
"Does that not mean that you should meet with them more? So that you can be certain. So that they can discover more about you."
no subject
"I just haven't decided, yet. What I want them to think of me. Gin is... well, he's not going to be a challenge. But Hitsugaya doesn't seem to be the sort to like our sort at all." She paused, considering her next words before continuing.
"I think that, perhaps, if I were... nicer... to him, he would like it. And perhaps he'd decide we were friends. But I imagine people would be put out if they noticed a difference between how I treat most of them and how I would treat him. I'm not entirely inclined to start playing sweet with every idiot in this town, either."
no subject
"Do you want them both, or will you be content with just one of them?"
no subject
Rhode frowned, tugging her hand out of his pocket and taking a moment to attempt getting her hair to stand up a bit more.
"I just think that some... some allies might be useful. Eventually."
no subject
Since you could abuse friends. And all.
no subject
She sniffed indignantly, wandering back around to his front side once again.
"And most people in this city wouldn't like to have much to do with me, if they knew anything at all."
no subject
"Most people in Death City are not worth your time anyway."
