A day after Medusa's defeat, Shibusen makes an announcement on the network: BREW is acting up again but instead of bringing new people in, it has created a portal.

It's in the Kishin Chamber, available to anyone who wants to go through it. Anyone who looks into it will see the place they came from, frozen in time. The moment you step through everything resumes and, maybe you'll forget or maybe you won't. Either way, there's no need to hurry right now. Shibusen assures all of you they will keep a sharp eye on BREW's energy readings and tell you the moment anything changes. For now, the portal is stable so take all the time you need to say goodbye and settle everything before you go.

[Lily's going to guess she's right about Amaterasu wanting to see her son. Either that or she just really likes having her ears rubbed.]

I'll take that as a yes. Did you have something important to continue back home or can you just have a rest and visit with him?

[Amaterasu just kinda stares at Lily before making a face. They'd been over what Ammy is for a while now; her job is never done. There will be a short welcome back and then back to the grind.]

[Well, Lily might know she's a goddess but it's not as if she's familiar with a sun goddess's normal daily routine!]

What's that face supposed to mean? Have you got a big mess to fix back home?

[Lily, let's read up on some Shintoism later. She has kids to watch for days and then some. Shaking her head at the question, she looks up at the sun and then tosses her head around before pawing at the ground. Hard work, hard work... all the work.]

[Lily's trying to guess what pawing at the ground means. In a way, it makes her glad her familiar back home can change forms and talk to her so she's not trying to guess all the time.]

Digging? You have a lot of flowers to plant? Running around to do?

[... Sure, that was close enough. Planting flowers and running around would both be done at some point. She gave Lily another lick on the cheek.]

[Okay, she's going to assume that was right.]

That doesn't sound too bad. I always did enjoy gardening myself. [But her smile fades a bit and she sighs.] If only that was all I needed to do back home...

[If only gardening was all she needed to do back home too. Amaterasu whines though, wondering what Lily still has to do.]

[Before she would have been reluctant to discuss such things but since she'd confessed she was a witch, there wasn't really any point to hiding it any longer.]

The last time I went back, a woman collapsed at a fancy party due to a curse. She wouldn't wake up because her soul was displaced and trapped in a mirror. So, I have to go back and help her...

[She sounds sad about it though and leans against the wolf a bit.]

[Oh dear, that sounded quite unfortunate to deal with. Still, she figures that if anyone can solve the case and set that woman's soul free, it would be Lily. So, she gives the Witch a nuzzle when she leans in, as if to say there there, things will be alright.]

I know I have to go back. Otherwise, she might die.

[She appreciates Amaterasu trying to make her feel better but still sighs, thinking of what else that meant. The next admission is quiet, almost a whisper.]

But I don't want to leave him...

[The only way Ammy isn't going to hear you Lily, if if you're thinking. Of course she's going to raise her head and turn it, watching her with gleaming eyes. That's right, Lezard... can't very well take him back.]

I reckon he'd stay here. Lezard doesn't have anyone or even a world to go back to. And the thought of abandoning him after everything... The fact that his birthday's coming up soon makes it seem even worse.

[Lily could feel tears prickling at her eyes even if she couldn't actually cry, being a witch. Wrapping an arm around the wolf, she has to resist the urge to bury her face in the fur and sob.]

[Ammy gives a few paw pats on the shoulder... or would, but the angle is a bit awkward, so she sits there patiently. She tilts her head, wonders, and then, woofs. Hey, there was always asking, right??]

[Lily looks up at the woof but isn't quite able to guess what Amaterasu might be thinking.]

Huh? Do you have an idea?

[... Duh, she has a communicator. So, stepping back.]

BREW's wish has been fulfilled. Why not ask if you can wish for him to come to your world?

[Well, that's something she hadn't considered!]

...Ask if he could go to my world? Would that even be possible? I thought it could only send folks back to where they came from. He was scared that the war ending would mean that contraption sending him back to die...

It's up to us to step through the portal, is it not? If he steps through now, then yes, it will be his realm and his death. Still, it's a small wish to request one join another realm, isn't it? It should be immediately satisfied.

But that's asking to meddle with dimensions. [Okay, so BREW already did that by dragging all of them here and apparently stopping time in their home worlds. Still...]

I don't know if it could really be that easy. And that cotton-pickin' contraption likes to make trouble a lot. [What if they ended up someplace else entirely thanks to its whims?!]

You don't know until you try. Anyway, ask someone in Shibusen if it is possible, and if so, make sure you're clear about your wish.

Someone in Shibusen... Who's in charge of that contraption anyway? But I should talk to Lezard first...

[Would he want to be uprooted again? Besides the question of whether it was even possible. She probably shouldn't get her hopes up too much but the thought of managing to return together...]
