It's even chillier now, but not that cold yet, so don't worry about that!

What you might want to worry about is a strange atmosphere hanging about the city. The feeling making everyone nervous has more or less dissipated, but the more observant of you lot might notice the way some of the citizens look uneasy...

"Okay." As long as he was feeling alright.

At the mention of understaffing, she fiddled with her hands and nodded. "Yeah. I mean, there's me and Ammy and Mr. Lezard... and Sakura and Aqua sometimes, but that's it."

Going back to work with the clinic was the fastest way for him to get reacquainted with the routine of living in Death City. But he was still feeling jittery and liable to start at the smallest things, and an agitated temper was the last thing he wanted to bring to a place of healing.

"Give me a few days to get settled. I'll give you a call once I'm ready to get back to work."

He didn't feel like he'd ever be ready, but Kurapika was beginning to realize that he had no choice. Watson and China and Leorio were more names he needed to think about and remember--Watson especially if he didn't want to make a mistake while treating someone.

"Of course! I wouldn't want to rushing back to work. Take your time."

It was nice that Kurapika was back, but he would have to get used to Death City again. And maybe see if he knew anyone else here and get reacquainted with them if he wanted to. No matter what, he needed time after being away so long and doing things in his world.

Getting a week or two off would have been nice, but Kurapika knew that he didn't have that much time to wallow in the despair of finding himself back in this place--there was an unsettling feeling about the city he'd noticed while walking about on the tour, which most likely meant that something big was going to happen soon. He nodded, and moved towards the registration desk, but stopped before taking more than a few steps.

"For what it's worth," he began slowly, looking back over his shoulder at Rosalia, "I'm sorry for leaving so suddenly. And I don't look like it right now, but I'm happy to see you again, Rosalia."

Rosalia was about to turn and begin prepping the machine again for anyone else who came through, but jumped when Kurapika started speaking to her again. She needed to work on that.

"It's okay. We can't stop BREW from doing what it does..." she replied. She really tried to do everything his last note asked. "And... I'm happy to see you again too. I hope you begin feeling better soon, Kurapika."

It's been a long while since he'd last spoken to someone with such a genuinely, innocently optimistic outlook, and Kurapika felt like an ass about privately thinking that Rosalia was wrong. He had to have had some part in BREW deciding to send him back, because he wouldn't be feeling this uneasy and guilty otherwise, as if he'd committed some grave error without realizing it. He doubted that talking about it would help, however, and so in the end merely nodded his thanks for her well-wishes and left her to her work.


[ooc: The training log looks so lonely and I kind of want to tag into the medic thread but I'm not sure if anyone will even reply also embarrassed about flooding yet another game-wide thread with my threads.]
