Coming back home from a mission, Genesis was still rather tired when he heard Near's alert regarding the fiend among the newcomers. While he could have chosen to rest and let his comrades in the Watch take care of the work first, his strong sense of duty to the goddess made him push on. He gave Edgeworth a passing heads-up about his intention to see what this newcomer was doing and to see if he could stop him.

However, he didn't expect what would happen upon meeting the troublemaker.

When he got on to the scene where a man was screaming at the terror in his mind, Genesis immediately transformed his one arm into the Rapier and moved ahead to attack. Diplomacy wasn't going to work with this one, he immediately thought. With the way he wanted to bring the world to ruin, he had to be taken down immediately.
