[ OPEN ] Farewell My Beautiful Summer

Characters: Keroro, Eve and anyone else in Metokkori R and the Hikan Cafe
Location: the Hikan Cafe and Metokkori R
Rating: G...unless you bring something higher with you.
Time: August 15th and onwards!
Description: Let's send off summer in style! And by that we mean parfaits.

For a while now, some flyers have been floating around advertising the Hikan Cafe's 'Farewell My Beautiful Summer Extravagenza!'. On it there are the silhouettes of ten parfaits with a large question mark on each. There's one more on the bottom with the words, 'NOMINATE A CHALLENGER!' written on top in bright and bold letters.

Besides that there's a date: coming to the Hikan Cafe on August 15!

When the day of the reveal finally came, the flyer on the Hikan Cafe's door was replaced with a fully coloured poster. At each table you will find a smaller, laminated copy as a special menu.

Let's enjoy the end of the summer, guys!

((OOC: Feel free to state whether your thread is open or closed!))

[Her reaction is interesting... she recovers quickly, but something about the mention seemed to have startled her.]

I doubt that your advice would be wholly useless... and you'd be surprised. There are always civilians who think their spouses are cheating, or their neighbors are stealing from them. Even during a war, humans can be relied upon to be petty.

Oh. You were thinking of that kind of thing... [She'd been imagining more significant cases like investigating the break-in that occurred when she was getting ready to open her shop, not following unfaithful spouses.]

Well, I guess you need to keep decent records of your expenses and such. Or have an employee who can do it for you. And a little advertising couldn't hurt. But otherwise, I know mostly about things like estate sales and doing laundry.

[It sounds like it's right up Light's alley. Keeping track of finances, while not entirely beneath L, isn't something that he really finds mentally invigorating.

They'll have to split such unstimulating drudgery to make it fair, perhaps.]

Advertising... since our aim is to provide others with a level of discretion a larger agency might not be able to. We'd prefer word of mouth... but we acknowledge that we need a client base first.

I suppose you have a point. Folks mostly hear about my shop through word of mouth too. But that does take time. I hung up a whole bunch of fliers around town when I was starting out.

[How did private investigators normally go about advertising their services anyway? It's not as if she ever needed to hire a Sam Spade so she had no idea.]

[He flashes a quick, secretive smile.]

I think I have a good idea of how to proceed, now, actually. Thank you so much for your input.

[Did he mean he was going to hang fliers too or did what she said inspire some other though?]

All right. Good luck with your business. If you'll excuse me, I'd better order and get back to my shop.
