Closed (Backdated to August 3)
Characters: Yami Bakura & Nanami
Location: Lake Okanagan, British Columbia
Rating: PG-13
Time: August 3
Description: Tourists have been flooding to that area as sightings of Ogopogo have been on the rise. However, boats searching the waters have been found empty of all life except the occasional smattering of blood.
She wasn’t sure if she should go today, she wasn’t even sure if he was going to show up but she had already signed them up for the mission. See, Nanami’s last conversation with Bakura had turned rather ugly at the end and she still believed what she said was true; Bakura was an idiot, a dense idiot.
The blond, however, arrived at the transportation mirrors with an overnight bag slung across her chest. She was clearly wearing a swimsuit under her “mission clothing”; the fabric tied in a bow behind her neck was protruding from under her shirt and her hair was tied back into a high ponytail. They were going to a lake and Nanami was 1,080% sure she was going to get dumped in the water at some point so why fight it? That was if the thief bothered to put in an appearance at this point.

At least he could vent and pursue a past-time project this way.
Shifting the weight of his big black duffel bag from one shoulder to another he approached Nanami from behind and gave the fabric from her swimsuit poking out of her clothes a tug as a greeting.
"You know, they're paying us to go slaughter a man-eating monster, not to model for their PR campaign." He gave her a one-over. "Or are you aiming for a RPG-armor?" His own clothes were mostly kept in black and functionally casual if you overlooked that he wore them like a king would wear his crown.

"You're late. It's a lake, getting wet is inevitable. I'm just coming prepared this time and I don't know what RPG armor is. Let's go," her reply was concise and she was able to naturally avoid making eye contact with him so far, clearly she was still annoyed with him.

Re-shouldering his bag, he nodded at the mirror portal that has already been opened. "Well, at least you're thinking ahead. That's better than going completely unprepared."

She flipped her ponytail over her shoulder and stepped through the mirror and out the other side giving Bakura room to follow her through. She could see the lake from where the mirror dropped her off and she sighed, this thing looked huge.

Following her through the mirror Bakura spent a few heartbeats to do the following things: a) make sure that it really was still Nanami he was going to go on a mission with (fuck Atem, there definitely hadn't been any shard of hope, definitely not! because he's really happy that that asshole's back and dead again!), b) shield his eyes against the sun and take a good look around and c) walk up to her so that he could brush past her with their shoulders touching, just because. "Real armor rarely looks good. It's too busy trying to protect your important parts. Now come, we need to steal a boat."

She moved to follow him trailing behind only about a half a step. She tested her partial transformation to be sure she was still a weapon. "I didn't ask before but um... how'd it go last time when we were supposed to do this together?"

At the memory of his unfortunate adventure his face closed completely off, turning into an emotionless mask. "I ended up with the Pharaoh and we had to fight our way back out. Same as on your end, I'd assume." Stones crunched under his feet as he kept moving, staring ahead.

Nanami glanced away, actually she and Takuto had totally dominated with their combination but she kept that fact to herself for now, "I should have been a Meister," she mumbled to herself. She shifted her bag and carefully stepped down a steeper area so as to not trip.

Following the line of the beach some ships were easily found and Bakura set right away to doing all the things necessary to 'borrow' the most stable looking one of them. Once the small ship was ready he stopped only for a moment to comment "He drew and used my Soul Monster" before he climbed on board.

Nanami was not a good judge of boats and she watched Bakura inspect the available options. If she had been anyone one else, she might have taken that statement a little differently, but this is Nanami we're talking about. "Ohh? That must have been a unique experience," She was using a slightly teasing tone while carefully climbing on board herself. She simply meant the experience of being used as a Weapon; it was one thing to be someone with a talking weapon, it was a whole different ball park being the talking weapon.

For a moment he just wanted to push her in the water and hold her head under till she stopped struggling and there was no way to keep his murderous aura from leaking has he moved to steer the ship out onto the lake with jerky movements.
"It was the most disgusting thing I ever had to bear."

Guffawing with laughter, Bakura put the motor output at a minimum as he called after her. "Oi! Having fun there?"

"Need a rope or a lifebelt?" Not that he thought they had any of the latter.

"Rope..." she finally admitted.
