EVENT: The Attack of the Clowns
Early in the morning, those who had brought one back would find the bird keychains they brought back from their trip to that skii resort doing something...strange. The small eyes on the things started pulsing with a faint light that might go unnoticed at first. It doesn't stop though, and keeps right on pulsing for the rest of the morning.
Shortly, before noon, the light stops pulsing and shines bright enough to be uncomfortable.
Two things happen at once when it does.
One of these things is this: within a 50 meter radius of every keychain, strange ripples appear in the ground. From these ripples, something that is barely humanoid in shape slowly ascend. Their colours range from red to silver to yellow to purple. When they've materialized all the way, the Clowns immediately spring into action, attacking anyone nearby and, if there is no one, move in whatever direction they were facing, seeking victims.
The other thing that happens is a voice, young, lilting and feminine, being projected through the keychains.
""Thank you for all that you have done: none of this would have been possible without your contributions. I would thank you all in person except I don't believe I am really welcome here. Which is a pity as I hadn't gotten to meet all of my lovely victims the first time around. Please accept these children as a token of my appreciation instead. They are a little, ah, crude, but I do hope you will all play nicely~."

It looked like it was starting to turn around when Akiha dropped down from the rooftop, accidentally tearing through an awning that failed to hold her. Once she hit the ground with a grunt of pain - she was clearly bleeding from several cuts along with an few odd splashes of silver - she charged the red clown. Ducking under the hairlike appendage as it swung at her, she hissed as her stained blouse caught fire on one side. She didn't stop, slamming her hands into the clown to steal her energy back. Then she channeled it into her strike, slamming the thing against the wall of the nearby building.
With another hiss of pain, she managed to turn it so it was facing the wall where she bodily pinned it. Then she looked back at Lily through the blood dripping down her face from a cut on her forehead as the fire died out.]
These ones need line of sight to be effective.
[She then slammed a crimson sparked palm into its back, jolting it with Soul Menace. The clown slumped as it was stunned, but wasn't out yet.]
How many are back that way and have you seen my partner anywhere?
no subject
Two but I think I lost them. And I'm not sure. What does she look like?
[She knew Akiha's partner was named Sion but she didn't recall ever meeting her.]

[Akiha hoped Sion had been seen, but she couldn't even remember if her partner was supposed to be home or if she was somewhere else in the city. At least she knew she wasn't at Shibusen or the Diner.
The clown seemed to regain its bearings and tried to push itself away from the wall. Bracing herself, Akiha couldn't swallow the small cry of pain as she had to put her weight on the ankle she must have injured when that awning gave out on her. She punched the clown in the back of the head and gave it another hit of Soul Menace, but the crimson sparks weren't as intense this time.
She was getting tired, panting a little.]

No, I haven't seen anyone like that.
[She grimaced at cry, concerned about girl even if they hadn't been on the best terms. And the sparks from that Soul Menace ability didn't seem as strong now. How long had she been fighting those things on her own?]
We should get away. Try to make it to the clinic. This man needs help, too.
[She bent over, trying to help the clown's victim to his feet. He was no longer smoldering but had painful-looking burns along his arms.]

[Her words were spoken through grit teeth.]
I just need to take its energy. The red ones don't make me as nauseous as the other ones do.
no subject
But you're hurt too and I can't just leave you here!
[Worried, she looked between Akiha and the injured man, who looked ready to bolt with or without them.]

[Lily still had a few misgivings about leaving the girl alone with the red clown but there wasn't realistically much she could do here. After one more concerned frown, she hurried off with the injured man. If she remembered right, the hospital was closer to this spot than the clinic...]
