EVENT: The Attack of the Clowns
Early in the morning, those who had brought one back would find the bird keychains they brought back from their trip to that skii resort doing something...strange. The small eyes on the things started pulsing with a faint light that might go unnoticed at first. It doesn't stop though, and keeps right on pulsing for the rest of the morning.
Shortly, before noon, the light stops pulsing and shines bright enough to be uncomfortable.
Two things happen at once when it does.
One of these things is this: within a 50 meter radius of every keychain, strange ripples appear in the ground. From these ripples, something that is barely humanoid in shape slowly ascend. Their colours range from red to silver to yellow to purple. When they've materialized all the way, the Clowns immediately spring into action, attacking anyone nearby and, if there is no one, move in whatever direction they were facing, seeking victims.
The other thing that happens is a voice, young, lilting and feminine, being projected through the keychains.
""Thank you for all that you have done: none of this would have been possible without your contributions. I would thank you all in person except I don't believe I am really welcome here. Which is a pity as I hadn't gotten to meet all of my lovely victims the first time around. Please accept these children as a token of my appreciation instead. They are a little, ah, crude, but I do hope you will all play nicely~."

All the better if she doesn't appear to us, but a Witch hardly cares about others. We just need to be careful.
[But as for nearby threats, his visual field narrows just as a blast of energy throws him back off the roof and into the streets below. He coughs an aggrieved note and manages to catch himself before he hit the ground too hard, but his chest surely felt the impact of the attack itself]
..I'd say so.

[As it was, Neji was the one in need of remaining careful. In Weapon form, Lee was virtually indestructible. It was Neji that was vulnerable.]
Neji! [Lee felt some panic, but he reigned it in so it would not block their chances at perfect resonance.] Neji! Around the building! Now!

He sees metal vibrate and debris lift into the air around it, then watches it all speed away to fly into nearby buildings and shatter windows in a rain of broken glass. But its a window of opportunity for them in its distraction, and Neji rushes up swiftly behind it, slamming Lee's baton into the back of its deformed head in a chain of debilitating blows]

Ready Neji?
[And then they were rushing forward, smashing the minion with several crushing blows. It should have taken such a small creature out, but the clown only turned its two-toned gaze back upon them with garbled growl. Raising a hand, a street lamp was ripped from the ground and was sent hurtling in their direction.]

The Meister threw them both to the side to avoid it, seeing it smash into the building behind them and wreaking a fair bit of damage in its wake. But there's no time to consider that now; he can only be grateful the clown didn't decide to keep the lamp as a sort of weapon to fend them off with. But then, as he found himself thrown back again, it didn't really need to]
That blast of energy can effectively keep us at bay if we let it. We need to close the distance and keep it that way. I need your speed, Lee.

A-ah! Roger! [And Lee reached inside him, throwing Neji a burst of speed through his own ability.] NOW!

The Meister swung hard into the back of the clown's knees, forcing it to drop from the sudden force. Then he was climbing up and forcing his palm into the back of its neck, releasing a strong wave of soul menace into its body.
Shocked and paralyzed in all probability, Neji scaled the Watch building, then came down hard on its head from above. Its skull split open from the impact, and Neji breathed, glaring down at the foul creature]
I'm not sure how many of these we'll be able to take down today if they're all this difficult..

We will have to find some time to rest, but... I think we should not just assume it will be safe to leave things as is. We had some difficulty but any newer meisters and weapons will surely find themselves in a very tight spot. We will need to provide assistance.

I occasionally wish our opponents were human. It's much easier to take them down. But we'll do what we can here.
[It was a harsh thing to say maybe, but fighting other humans was what they were used to. Giant monsters and Witches however, proved much more challenging.
Neji scaled another building and cast his eyes about]
Let's find where we're needed then.
