Characters: Valentine and Sugata Shindou
Location: Caribbean
Rating: PG
Time: July 5th, Morning
Description: Mission 207 - Cutlass-wielding wannabe pirate skeleton kishin eggs. That's a mouthful. Oh, and some treasure, too. One thing at a time though.
It's bright and sunny and the pristine scenery was perfect for a vacation. Just a bevy of bodies rather uncaring of the Kishin eggs wandering about somewhere. If anything, it had become a rumor and part of a tourist trap complete with disclosure paperwork saying the hotels weren't liable for any actual deaths. Barely an ounce of panic except for one or two people being calmed down by the family or friends.
Valentine didn't say anything. Looking the part of a tourist (more like a lifeguard with her medical bag), she lowered the sunglasses onto the bridge of her nose as she sighed. "And they say residence in Death City are carefree..." She balled up her disclosure contract the tossed it into the trash. Her eye cast a look over at her partner.
"I trust you managed to find your friend's dog." And get some sleep, but she would be the judge of that over the day.

He turns to the other and shrugs. "Island mentality, perhaps?" Or maybe this sort of thing has gone on for far too long that the natives have just.... gotten used to them happening. He looks up at the next question and nods his head. "Yes, I did. Thank you for your assistance."

Getting use to it happening and then going about like nothing was wrong, maybe they should leave. By all means, what was a few more tourists being killed until, say, a diplomat was killed? They should be more on edge... like that girl trying to drag her parents off the beach.
She doesn't make a comment to his thanks and walks on. Crossing onto the beach, Valentine glances around. Some kids seemed bothered while their parents seemed to care less and teenagers even more. "So, if you were a pirate, who would you decide to attack?"

"Adults?"
no subject
"Adults. That's an answer. Castles would have worked too." Of course, why bother with sand castles, but that's something to ask the skeletons charging towards one a young man is currently working on.

He turns his head and looks down at the pirate advancing on the sand castle. "Maybe it thinks there's treasure inside?"
no subject
"It's possible..." She continues watching it sneak up while a second comes out. "Or this is a ruse until they're close enough."

He opens his mouth, ready to comment on something, but stops instantly. These are tourists after all. For all he knows they could have expensive things with them. He knows the rest of the islanders would leave that stuff back home. But, there was the occasion when someone would lose a smart phone or an expensive watch. Or their wallet. But that doesn't seem like something they'd go after, would it?
"Do you think we should... intervene now?" Two on one was definitely not a fair fight for his standards.

Valentine watches, but says little. The sand castle builders seem ignorant or just ignoring the skeletons entirely - they were right there after all- but there's a third one peeking from the forest now.
"... Yes, now is a good time." She holds out her hand to him.

And with that, he takes that as his cue to transform into his weapon form.

Tantou in hand, Valentine takes a stance lower to the ground. She waits for the moment and then springs as the skeleton swings its sword. Its hand is knocked off, spinning through the air. It falls soon enough, knocking the third down.
"Hey!"
"Hm?" Valentine leers back at the individual who seems more cross about her having destroyed their castle than the fact skeleton. Kicking the skeletons back, she rounds on them, pointing Sugata at their throat. "Do you require a tracheotomy?"
"W-Wha--I... no?"
"And I thought you were having difficulty breathing stuttering like that... Get lost..." That's one way to send a vacationer to fetch security. Whatever, she doesn't really care.

"I think he might have wet himself a little."

She marches towards the skeletons as they reassemble themselves. They seem surprised to be facing opposition, but they're ready to fight. Shooting forward, she springs up and flips backwards, landing squarely on the skull. With it down, she brings Sugata down to sever its spinal cord.
