[OPEN] Sandstorm Event + September Introduction Log
Given that the last time there was a sandstorm BREW had just...unceremoniously dumped the new arrivals outside to face the elements, Shibusen decided it would be prudent to send some people out to make sure the poor souls aren't left to flounder.
Outfitting their volunteers with the proper gear, they're allowed back into Death City not only to search for new arrivals but also to check for stragglers.
However, as the volunteers go through the city, they find more than just the expected stragglers and new arrivals. For some reason, there is the occasional Kishin Egg wandering around...
To make things worse, the sandstorm continues to rage, causing poor visibility and covering the streets with a thick layer of sand, making it hard to keep footing. A problem these Kishin Eggs don't seem to have when most of them are capable of diving under the sand to move like sharks.

"They're friends of yours then? And I don't think I got your name..."
She moved to pull her goggles back down since it seemed like they were about ready to leave but then Lezard proposed his idea and she paused, raising an eyebrow at him. "You'd better not try anything like the first time we resonated!" Because, well, he was kind of a pervert...

"So I will, of course, be brief. Let's see..." There was something like a spark at the very edge of one's consciousness, and with it the sound of flipped pages. Soul Read was simple: To open the soul and flip its very 'pages', to feel the innermost emotions and drive of the Meister. Her nature became quite clear, and he felt a sort of kinship to it- ambition, manipulation, a passion to achieve one's goals.
From between his pages sprung a fine ribbon of cerulean, ending in a charm in the shape of a V, sprouting thin spidery legs. As the book sprung open, the blank pages marked began to fill with thin, scratchy handwriting detailing the spell Dark Savior. Coupling with the explanation was an illustration of a shadowy figure surrounded by small blades as both hands reach for two of the hilts.
"Interesting... I've felt no 'block'. Vriska Serket is a Meister."

"Possessive? I am not!" She scoffed as that nuisance of a sorcerer took Vriska's hand and transformed. The witch knew he'd resonated with a few others before but she'd never witnessed it herself. Curiosity caused her to step closer and peek at the pages, upside down from her perspective.
"What kind of spell is that?" Not one she had seen before and certainly not one of the fire spells she used.

The news of being a Meister was welcoming! It told her she would not have to rely on another to enable her to fight. While it would prove difficult without her powers she would be sure to find a way to overcome that. Now about that spell, her interest sparked as she look down at the book.
"So other then being a Meister can you sum up what just happened?"

All the intrigue. It'd been a while since a Meister unlocked his favorite family of magic. Lezard would have to keep an eye on this Vriska.

Pulling her goggles and dust mask back into place, she added, "If there's nothing else for now, I reckon we should be going."
She held her hand out for the book. Hopefully, they could make it back to the school without much trouble...

May as well get all this over with, hm? Oh, but he wished the storm would stop. Everything had ground to a halt, all progress, due to this wretched blustery thing!
Do we want to log walking to the school, maybe with a kishin egg sighting? Or just wrap up?
"Put the scarf back on and follow me." She leaned against the door, pushing it open with a shoulder and back out into the winds they would go.
Mmm hard decision. Yeah we can do a log.
