[OPEN] Sandstorm Event + September Introduction Log
Given that the last time there was a sandstorm BREW had just...unceremoniously dumped the new arrivals outside to face the elements, Shibusen decided it would be prudent to send some people out to make sure the poor souls aren't left to flounder.
Outfitting their volunteers with the proper gear, they're allowed back into Death City not only to search for new arrivals but also to check for stragglers.
However, as the volunteers go through the city, they find more than just the expected stragglers and new arrivals. For some reason, there is the occasional Kishin Egg wandering around...
To make things worse, the sandstorm continues to rage, causing poor visibility and covering the streets with a thick layer of sand, making it hard to keep footing. A problem these Kishin Eggs don't seem to have when most of them are capable of diving under the sand to move like sharks.

He steps into the storm, holding Yuugi's hilt tightly and leaning into the wind. His sunglasses are hardly helping to keep the sand from his eyes but they are the best he has.]

It looks so weird...
[Almost like being trapped in another world. At least they have the familiar buildings to guide them, even if they can barely see down the street.]

[He hurries through the streets, trying to find cover behind buildings and running quickly across intersections. The problem is the wind seems to funnel through the narrow streets, blasting sand into his face or nearly knocking him over when it comes up behind.
He can't shake the feeling he's being followed, or that something is watching them, but he tries not to let that feeling spread through his wavelength. They probably are being watched, by the few other people that locked their doors and refused to evacuate.
Still, it didn't help the atmosphere at all. There was nothing to be heard other than the sound of the wind, and the city looked eerie and unfamiliar, like hundreds of years had passed and the place was now ruins buried by the desert.]

She pauses to keep her balance as a strong gust goes past her and when she looks back to where Takuto was only to find a wall of sand. Oops. She just needs to press forward a little faster and that's when something catches her eye, a small shimmer beneath the sand just off to the side. Nanami squints behind her goggles as it disappears but now the sand appears to be rippling in her direction. The blond reverses moving away from the impending sand. Takuto was probably too far along for her to catch up now.]

[Yuugi is unsettled enough by the atmosphere that he begins to watch their backs as well as where they are headed, in time to catch the faintest of shadows but it disappears within the whirling sands before he can quite make it out.
Probably just a trick of the storm.
There's something else, though... He tries to keep his apprehension to himself as best as he can with their resonance.]
At least it's not much further.

It's more than a little concerning that there's enough sand that Yuugi does provide some support, but as soon as the gust passes, he rushes towards the safety of a narrow stairwell. The steps may be dangerous to fall down, but at least there are walls he can lean against for support.]
This is pretty ridiculous. [But, if he's not mistaken, the looming darkness through the sand ahead of them is the Fatality Condominiums.]
