Location: A nameless street in the city, Shibusen and the training area

Description: After finally being permitted out of the hospital’s quarantine Eren has nothing better to do than


a) Run in front of a car

b) Look like a suicidal idiot on a wall

c) Stare at everybody who’s not Caucasian white or has a non-standard hair-color during training time.

d) Do all of the above with predictable consequences.

The words of a real man who knows how to respect food owned by others! Eren just gained a respectful glance from Yamazaki.

"Yes, it would. Never try to tear apart a Yamazaki from his breakfast. Well, it's okay if the breakfast is spinach, though."

While speaking Yamazaki took a curious look at Eren.

"Who are you? Who were you in the world you came from?"

Eren was tempted to ask what a Yamazaki was but decided against it. He had already heard enough foreign words to make his head spin for a day.

"I'm Eren. I am a soldier." He omitted both his last name as well as who or what he was fighting for, but was quite insistent about using present tense.

If only Yamazaki would knew about Eren being confused by his words! He could tell so much interesting (fake) facts about the Yamazakis! Like the types of Yamazaki: the mountain Yamazaki, the green-bearded Yamazaki and so on...

"Eren...I won't forget it. And...did you fight in a real war before you came here or you were just a decoration? You know, those guys who wear fancy uniforms and walk around the palaces.

"It was fighting a real war!" He all but bristled, feeling insulted at the behalf of his killed comrades and friends at the suggestion that it might not have been. (There's also a certain need to not have himself confused with those cowards from the Military Police who kept hiding themselves away from doing any real fighting inside the inner walls.)

Yamazaki stared at Eren for a while before he nodded. He didn't have any peculiar reason to do so, but Eren stared at him earlier, now it was Yamazaki's turn.

"I believe you. You do have a warrior's soul. I'm sorry if my words sounded doubtful. You're anything but a chocolate soldier."

He was just trying to be as cool as Kondo-san was in his extremry rare cool seconds.
