Description: After finally being permitted out of the hospital’s quarantine Eren has nothing better to do than


a) Run in front of a car

b) Look like a suicidal idiot on a wall

c) Stare at everybody who’s not Caucasian white or has a non-standard hair-color during training time.

d) Do all of the above with predictable consequences.

Hadn't really thought question was about breakfast foods, but found it odd to think of awe sufficient for 'wow' to be used being applied to self.

He wasn't sure if that was the right thing to say or if he had just put his foot right into his mouth again, but considering that that teeth-monster lady apparently was te same kind as this guy and said guy had what looked like a double-set of discolored teeth growing out of his head instead of horns... It seemed acceptable. Adequate, even.

Psii tipped head. "Isn't any reason to be sorry. Am used to humans staring at."

Had done his fair share of staring at them, when first arrived in Death City. They were all so... squishy. Still wasn't sure how they stayed as uninjured as they seemed to.

"Assume you're new import?"

Eren was about to say that that wasn't what he had meant but bit his tongue when he heard the archaic way of phrasing. Export and import weren't really things that existed in his world anymore, except from one district/wall/city to another.

His brows knitted in a frown as he replied.

"I guess you could call it that. Is it that obvious?"

"You would have seen trolls by now if weren't new to Death City. Are quite a few of us here."

There was a slight hesitation before 'us,' which wasn't as difficult to get out as 'I' or 'me,' but still required conscious effort.

"You're joining fight against witches?"

Really. He registered the new information with the barest hint of an inclination of his head and a subtle shift of his eyebrows. He would have to ask Armin what exactly a 'troll' was besides a way of insulting somebody's looks.

He also didn't miss that minuscule pause before the us. So they were no united group? Interesting.

His voice was careful when he answered the question. "I already have a cause I've sworn to devote myself to. If there is no other way I will help," maybe, "but I'm not going to join anybody for now."

Psii nodded.

"Had to think about it for while before deciding to help Death City. Saw more than enough of war in own world."

And had too much blood on hands. Was different here--taking Kishin eggs out protected humans and others.

"A war?" So much to Eren's attempt of maintaining a disinterested air. "What kind of war? And about what? Was it against your own kind?"

"War of conquest. Was... unwilling weapon."

Had explained this many times by now, and fell back on most familiar way of wording it.

"Used to be spaceship."

Conquest, huh? The thought felt bewildering, exciting and intimidating all at the same time. "At least that's better than it being a defensive war."

He gave him a curious look while the question what a spaceship was short-timely outruled the importance of him having been an unwilling weapon. "So you're some sort of sailor, then?" What kind of space did it mean?

"Not sailor. Was ship. Was connected to it, physically and psychically. Was its brain and its battery. Am--was mage. Telekinetic."

"A ship?! How's that even possible?!" Congratulations, Psii, you just fried his brain.

Thought had put it as clearly as possible. But humans didn't have this; human wigglers didn't even know word 'helmsman,' much less fear what it meant.

"Ships in imperial fleet used telekinetics as power sources. Was one of those."

Ironically, Eren would have looked a lot less flabbergasted if the Psiionic had just told him that much. He was familiar enough with ships to at least recognize that term as designating some sort of sailor -and it was a lot less disturbing than the idea of the guy actually being a ship! Where had they kept all the people and the stuff?! Don't tell him his stomach!

Eren shook his head to stop imaging the troll as some sort of gigantic titan-ship swimming up a river and spewing out peoples and crates at his destination.

"I- Okay? I-I think I get it now. Thanks for explaining.. ?"
