Characters: The unlucky people who are being attacked by Witches in South America
Location: Areas surrounding San Martín de los Andes, Isla del Sol and San Pedro de Atacama

Time: June 10th to June 12th
Description: In the area surrounding San Martín de los Andes, Isla del Sol and San Pedro de Atacama, there have been reports of large, bird-like creatures attack and consuming humans. A request was sent out to Shibusen to deal with this threat.



San Martín de los Andes

A town famous for its tourism. It gets chilly at night, but during the day it's bright and sunny with plenty of beaches. Incidentally, it's a famous place for birdwatching during the summer. Needless to say, after more than a few bird watchers were seen being carried off there are fewer of them hanging around lately.


Isla del Sol

An island with harsh climate and rocks. Lots and lots of rocks. It is also rich in old ruins and archaeological sites. The views from the top of the mountains, especially at dawn and dusk are said to be breath-taking. Lately though, it's less the view that's taking the tourists breaths away so much as the giant birds (suspected to be Kishin Eggs) swooping down at them and eating them.


San Pedro de Atacama

Another nifty place for eco-tourism where tourists can choose to go on exploration tours in natural landscapes. Lately though, many tourists who go to the Valle de La Luna and the Chaxas Lagoon, haven't been returning. When a couple of survivors finally made it back, they spoke about a monstrous, pink bird devouring their fellow tourists.

[ Saya smirks ] That means we have to be smarter than them, then.

[naniwarocky]

Well, I'm pretty sure you are plenty smarter than any kishin egg. Any suggestions on how to make ourselves seem like appealing targets?

[sayatakagi]

The reports said a bird-like kishin egg. [ Saya reaches out her hand to Sendo ]

But we don't know how many. I don't want to be jumped on, so let's just stay focus on our surroundings. Kishin eggs are big and/or noisy.

[naniwarocky]

[He reaches over to her and grabs her hand.]

Alright.

Feell free to throw a witch whenver, mods!

[sayatakagi]

[ Saya turns the moment she is sure Sendo is holding her. Once turned, the girl looks around. ] Alright, let's try to find some clue. And watch your head, they might jump from a tree.

[ even if Saya says this, she knows Sendo is capable enough for this ]

[namelesswitch]

[After a moment, they might start to hear a sound. It doesn't sound much like a bird. If anything, it sounds like...buzzing. Like the kind of sound a bee or wasp might make except louder. Much, much louder.

There's some rustling in the bushes before a young woman comes out of it. She's a tiny, slim thing; petite. With a sweet smile thatmight have been disarming if it wasn't a little too sharp. The Witch hat on her head is a pretty dead give away of who or rather, what she might be.]

Are you lost?

[The buzzing continues in the background.]

[Sendo stops dead in his tracks when the witch emerges from the bushes. He's saying about a dozen curses in his head right about now. He raises Saya's weapon form up and takes aim at the witch.]

I was about to ask you the same thing. Don't you have a cauldron that needs stirring?

[sayatakagi]

[ Saya looks around when she hears the buzzing.

What in the name of-

until her eyes see the Witch. It was the first time she has ever seen one and if she didn't know how dangerous they were, she'd mention something about how stereotypical she looked.

However, her heartbeat races and she feels a cold shiver running through her spine ]

Sendo...

[ don't mock her. They are probably at disadvantage here ]

[namelesswitch]

[The buzzing got louder and she held out an arm. A hummingbird as large as her head came out of the bushes behind her and landed there. She brought it closer to her and smiled at it.]

Well, I have something more interesting than some silly old cauldron to play with.

[Despite the fact that the hummingbird had landed, the buzzing continued. If anything, it seemed to be getting louder.]

[naniwarocky]

[Sendo wasn't afraid. He couldn't be when his partner was in just as much danger as he was. His eyes flickered from the witch momentarily to look at the hummingbird, then they moved back to the witch.]

That something wouldn't happen to be playing with your birdie and then going home, would it? [He then whispers to Saya.] Stay calm. I'll cover your escape if things get too dicey.

[sayatakagi]

[ Saya eyes the bird and the Witch. Though she IS scared, the girl won't freak out. She can't. Staying alive and keeping Sendo alive is the most important thing right now. ]

I'm more worried if she has more than just one birdie.

[namelesswitch]

I do plan to play. [She brought her other hand up to pet her familiar.] But I was hoping I could play with the two of you for a little while.

[naniwarocky]

I'm afraid we don't have time to play. We're on the job and everything. Maybe next week? [Sendo then whispered to Saya again.] We'll try to deal with them if they come. Right now, we need to focus on what is in front of us.
