Characters: Sugata Shindou (
peacocked) & Yako Katsuragi (
itaidakimasu)
Location: some restaurant.
Rating: very g!
Time: backdated to June 7th, evening.
Description: Takuto suggested that they go out on a dinner date. lord help his wallet.
Sugata wasn't exactly sure what to make of this.... supposed dinner date. He knew he should have asked Takuto (or Yako, for that matter) when the other didn't have alcohol influencing his thoughts, but he never really had the time to. So, here he is waiting outside of Yako's apartment door. Because that's what gentlemen do, they go pick up their ladies! Though, he can't really make any quick wardrobe adjustments. So he's hoping the outfit he has on matches a little with what she's wearing (which so happens to be a nice blue and white stripped button up that looks a lot like this and a nice pair of black jeans.) Not that he had much of a wardrobe to begin with seeing as most of it was borrowed from Takuto's closet. He at least managed to buy a few shirts of his own though!
He did, however, take the time to make a quick stop and get a cold bottle of water for Sasha. He... probably should have mentioned that, but oh well. Knocking at the door now, to announce his arrival!

He glances over at Yako. "Takuto mentioned something when I first got here about you being a detective. What kinds of things did you solve?"
no subject
"I work at the Agency here now, though, and I'm taking on a lot of different cases!" She bounces a little. "A lot of them are radically less...well, less dramatic compared to what I'm used to. It's a nice change of pace."
no subject
"But I bet that's interesting nonetheless. Do you have a leg up on the other people in the Agency?"

"I can kind of relate to that with acting. It's refreshing when rolls are divvied out equally amongst the five of us." he pauses. "Well I guess technically the club has raised to seven members if I count Takuto and Mizuno."
no subject
"Mizuno-chan seems like a real sweetheart," Yako remarks. The alcohol and large amount of food at the party had distracted her from the poor younger girl's reaction to finding out she was Takuto's girlfriend.

"After you."

They are able to be seated fairly quickly, leaving yako to pour over the menu with stars in her eyes.

"What are you planning on starting off with?"

She has matured a little from the time she was sixteen, however, and dating has helped solidify her resolve to pay for her own food, somewhat.

He takes his mind off of that part when the waiter comes over and gives him his order.
no subject
She just doesn't realize that he doesn't plan on letting her do that yet.
no subject
"So what other things do you do here when you're not working or going on missions." He would include eating, but he hopes that would be obvious.
no subject
"Cooking," she ticks off in her fingers. "For me, my friends, and some of my coworkers, sometimes. I usually bake something to take to the Agency as a snack for the day for all of us. I play with my dog, Kerberos—and Sai used a bunny as a hostage/house-warming gift combo earlier today, so I'll probably be playing with him too, soon enough. Feliks, I mean. The rabbit, not Sai."
no subject
His eyes widened slightly as he set his cup of water down. "He did what? Why?"
no subject
She grimaces. "Probably because threatening to rip it apart was the only way he knew we'd let him through the door. I had hoped it might take longer for him to find out where I'd moved..." She was under the assumption that Takuto had filled Sugata in about the Sai situation.
no subject
"Ah, I.... see. Is he going to be too much of a bother to you though? Now that he knows your new address." She's sadly wrong in that assumption. The only thing Takuto ever told him about Sai was that he should stay away from him. Everything he's found about the boy has been on his own though. But of course he doesn't really know too much about his relationship with Yako.
no subject
"I'd say he lives to be a bother to me here in Death City but that sounds arrogant. He's...he could be worse, compared to what he has done in our world. Comparatively what he does here is only mischievous instead of malicious. I'm sure he'll find some new way to mess with me soon enough. Takuto and I have talked about this, and we've agreed that I should try to ignore him as much as I can."
no subject
As she goes on to explain her situation with Sai, he crosses his arms and remains silent. Once she's done he gives a small sigh. "I wouldn't ignore him for too long. He might try different ways to catch your attention." And that could be potentially bad...
no subject
She blows out her cheeks, frustrated. "What's worse is that he knows exactly how I think, feel, and function. So he knows, even if I'm taking the highroad and ignoring him, that I'm worrying about what he's doing when I'm not keeping track of him."
