Description: The drama club finally gets its act together. ~~Get it?~~

Takuto arrives just after 6:00 with Sasha in tow. There's been a few changes to some things, but hopefully it's nothing the Starfish Apocalypse can't overcome. Everyone just needs to get to know each other and then get to work!

[Sasha shakes his head.]

No, but I was considering it. I never decided which one to try.

[Almost defensively:] No.

I like violins. But I don't know if my gloves would get in the way of playing them.

Sasha just stares at Kaworu incredulously for a second. Then, he looks around to make sure that no one else is watching, before bringing a hand up to his mouth and pinching the fabric of the middle finger tip between his teeth so he can pull his hand out and holding it out to Kaworu to see. There's really not much hand to see, just a bunch of carefully wound ribbon bandage splotched in in blood, most densely at the fingertips.]

[for his part, kaworu just looked confused for a moment, unsure why the whole gloves thing was a big deal until they finally came off, and then. well.]

...What happened?

[With a soft sigh,] Do you want the short story or the long one?

[he glances over to the stage, where another scene is still being rehearsed.]

...It seems we have some time. The longer story is fine.

[Sasha speaks in a lowered volume. You know, just in case.]

When I was an infant, I was sold to scientists with the intention to study my power and the ways in which they could weaponize it or exploit it for money. I was one of a couple dozen kids that had met the same fate, experimented on without consideration for our humanity, but there was a woman there who was the reason why I survived, and why I had held onto my sanity.

When they tried to take advantage of her, we fled. But the gold Qwaser and his Adepts managed to find us, and--

[Sasha's story abruptly stops, clearly pained even to this day to merely explain it. After collecting his nerves again, he continues:]

...I buried her grave in the Siberian tundra with only my hands. They've never healed since then.

...Is it normal, in your world, for wounds bearing great emotional weight to not heal properly?

...No.

The Orthodox Church has deemed me an official stigmatic.

[his eyebrows raise at that response, but his expression remains politely neutral.]

Then the stigmata is a legitimate occurrence in your world?

As far as the Church is concerned, yeah. For me, however, they mean something else entirely.

And what is that?

It is a burden I carry to remind myself what it is in the world that I value most, and what I fight for. The special people in my life. My friends.

[he nods sagely at that, apparently satisfied.]

As long as you are alright with it, that is good. Does it affect the use of your hands at all?

I can do whatever I want with them as long as I don't mind getting blood on whatever I'm working with.

And that is why you cannot manage the violin? What if you wore different gloves?

I'm afraid that the thickness of the glove material will get in the way. [Not to mention the bandages, too.] The strings on a violin are awfully close together.

What about latex gloves?

...They're not the most comfortable things to be wearing for hours on end, but they're an option.

If you can handle stigmata, I am sure you have the strength to manage the discomfort of latex gloves for a while.

...Touché.

[He shrugs.]

Right now I only use them for food preparation.

I can teach you to play the violin, if you would like.
