V-Day Means Work Day. [OPEN]
Characters: Roy and other Workaholics
Location: The DOGS Office
Rating: G for now!
Time: February 14, after training until whenever!
Description: What do you do while love is in the air and a chocolate craze has hit Death City? Work like nobody's business.
Even with all of the buzz and the excitement, Valentine's Day was just another day, wasn't it? That meant that people got up, people trained, and people went to work, especially if they happened to be employed with DOGS and the Watch.
Of course, Death City had a way of making things stop being normal pretty quickly...
ooc: Make your own threads and do your own thing in here, guys - do action or prose, whatever you're more comfortable with! Just specify a time, whether your thread's open or closed and maybe a general location as needed. ♥

Considering how likely it is that the last attack was as much an attempt at mental warfare was physical...

[Quietly. Too quietly.
And now he's going for his cigarettes.]
We'll be fine, though. The people here are rather resilient, as are the other guests.

In the end if such things can be prevented, then some pain could be dealt with. Eventually.]
I was talking with Auron on the subject, actually. We came up with a few... unsettling theories.

[Glancing over, while lighting up. He's listening.]

[He winces. People had been hurt, kidnapped, killed. Calling something so devastating 'ill planned' seems disrespectful almost]
I mean... what they could have gain in soldiers from the morality machine paled in comparison to what they lost in the attack, do you see what I mean?

I might, but tell me what you're driving at anyway.

[A glance of apology.]
Yet, even disregarding BREW's habit of taking people and dropping them off, the Witches must have a decent idea of our numbers and general fighting strength from earlier attacks and spying on those on missions. Sending what could basically be called a suicide attack was pointless.
Unless attacking the city and taking a few people wasn't the main goal.
[He pauses in case Roy has anything to say or ask]

[They wanted to scare them. They wanted them to suffer a little.
Psychological warfare was always the greatest weapon.]

They must want to demoralize us, make us question if fighting for Shibusen is worth it.

And is it working?
[He's no longer asking about the city. He's asking about you.]
no subject
I've dealt with much worse then this, Sir. Plus, I've kind of come to like this place.

[Heh.]
We'll be fine, Flynn. We'll just have to lean on each other, and protect as many as we can.

[A pause, then]
What ar eyou working on?
no subject
[Speaking of...]
If you have any observations, I could work them in. It'd help.
