Even with all of the buzz and the excitement, Valentine's Day was just another day, wasn't it? That meant that people got up, people trained, and people went to work, especially if they happened to be employed with DOGS and the Watch.

Of course, Death City had a way of making things stop being normal pretty quickly...

I'm unable to stop... answering questions. And I've been holding my partner's hand since before we left this morning. He's sleeping on me because he we're attached at the moment.

[Damn. And he really didn't want to tell anyone that. The moment he does, his cheeks pinken with embarrassment and he looks at the table again.]

He is. Which is unfortunate for me since we've worked together for so long, I'm always stuck just going with him.

How long have you known each other anyway?

Only a few months. Around four or five. It hasn't been long at all.

Is that so? I was under the impression that you knew each other for much longer.

[Barnaby glances over at Kotetsu, then shrugs. There's a long list of somewhat uncomfortable reasons why they get along well, but Barnaby can easily think of this simple one:]

It may be because we work together daily. Other than that, I'm not so sure. [Tsuuuun.]
