Even with all of the buzz and the excitement, Valentine's Day was just another day, wasn't it? That meant that people got up, people trained, and people went to work, especially if they happened to be employed with DOGS and the Watch.

Of course, Death City had a way of making things stop being normal pretty quickly...

Well sucks to be you, because Fabiola, while not blatantly, will be making her way into HQ carrying a stack of cookie trays that nearly reaches her eyes. There are sugar, chocolate-chip, oatmeal, chocolate chocolate-chip, macaroons, butter cookies, shortbread, chocolate and snickerdoodles.

Yes- last night, mostly, so some are not as fresh as I would like...and the rest this morning.

Where'd you learn how to make this?

[She scratches at her cheek idly, and then clasps her hands, giving a little shrug.]

I learned how to cook basic things from the Head Housemaid and one of the other girls who worked in the Lovelace household. I... have been practicing since I arrived here, as I do not much believe in wasting money on restaurants if one is capable of cooking for themselves.

I see. [Finishing that cookie, then smiling.] Maybe I should get you to teach me how to cook sometime.

[Fabiola blinks and flushes a little, fingers tugging nervously a her apron.]

I... I could try my best, if you were really interested, Sir!

Yes- I thought it would be good practice to make something other than the kind I am accustomed to.

...that's amazing. [Really it is! Aqua's never even made food for more than four people not to mention that she wasn't really much of a baker.]


How long did this take you?

Well- I... I thought it would be a nice thing to do for everyone, so...

[Fabiola's good at things that have instructions she can follow- and cookies are easy, after a few practice batches.]

Ah... a few hours last night and a little bit this morning.

She's got the cookies laid out by now though, and is perched beside them, nibbling on a sugar cookie with a pleased look on her face.]

[She does a lot of practicing, and she can't eat it all herself.]

Cooking in general, more like- though I am hoping the practice will carry over when I return to my own world- if only a little bit.

Ah, so it's something you recently picked up? I'm quite impressed!

[She flushes a bit, pleased, but shakes her head.]

Well- not entirely. That is, I did some cooking and baking before I came here, however as I have a bit more free time, I have been finding new ways to occupy myself when I am not on patrol.
